cad
I am currently finishing and rc glider in red and white, and have a reel of assorted width black stick on lines. I have tried to use these before but found that the ends of the tapes tend to lift . Are these trims supposed to be ironed on or sealed down in any way. Are there any answers in the forum that I have not found. Thanks
Richard Wood
Hi, Self adhesive trim tapes, Solartrim & many types of transfers can certainly benefit from sealing down with a cool iron to stop them lifting, especially around curves. Don't have the iron too hot or the trim can melt , & you may find it a good idea to use a tissue under the iron or an iron sock. An iron setting of no more than 100'C or 'just before 9 O'clock' on a rotary control seems about right - but a bit of experimentation is worthwhile.
