DB Sport and Scale 58" Tiger Moth Electric Conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi Peter - sorry about delay - been away!

Give Eddie or Judy a ring at DB Sport and Scale - they will sell you a plan separately - I think last time I asked it was a little more than £10 plus postage. Worth every penny and good quality printing.

Keep us posted with how you are doing,

Terry

Hi Terry,

I wish that I had seen this build thread before I started on my own DB Tiger Moth. Would have been a great help. Nice build on your side. Sorry about the crash but you made a cracking job of getting it successfully back in the air. This might be a very late comment to you posting 17/02/12 about the cause of the crash and the 'squealing noise' from the motor. The same happened to me with an AXI 2808/20 and that cost my Spitfire a wing. Like many others I don't think it is a case of prop stall but a mismatch between motor and ESC. I could repeat the malfunction by rapidly advancing the throttle even after changing the ESC. The cure was to adjust the Timing Mode to 'Middle' (or High) and Start Mode to 'Soft' on the ESC. After this adjustment it hasn't happened again.

I have put up an album with some pictures of my Tiggy.

Cheers Per
