Conwy Soarer
Following on from my succesful mini sloper the Gelert 1000 I have now started the CAD drawings for the bigger 2 metre Gelert 2000. This is the 1000, The 1000 has a one piece top mounted wing, on the 2000 I am using a 2 piece wing mounted a tad above the centre line using CF wing joiners, the protoype will have one piece ailerons, although I may split them at a future date and make a 4 servo wing version. Fuselage will be mainly laser cut ply and balsa, wings will be the same with carbon tube spars and joiners. Hopefully will start getting a kit of parts cut for the fuselage this weekend. Conwy Soarer
Not really thought of electrifying it as I mainly fly slope, I have a few foamy electrics for days when there is no wind. I might give it a try if the prototype goes well.
