Stearmanandy
the last problem appeared on the final assembly stage, don´t know why but I don´t like building struts, so they are always close to the end. As I mentioned in one of the first posts, I should have thought about the struts earlier (to be safe of the extra work) These are the original parts to assemble the struts between the wings, with 8 bolts/screws M2 and a length of 8mm I would have needed some chinese hands to screw these in place and at least sticking the screw driver through the 3-color-expensive-nerv wrecking- oracover finish so there must be a better solution in future for the new oracover finish (second job )
Stearmanandy
Hi Andrew, it my fastest building ever, just one and a half year, but still have to do the CG and of course we all need and wait for the spring in Europe. Cheers Andy
John Fontana
Fastest build ever at 18 months? That shows devotion few could match. A lovely aeroplane. Interesting to read how you solved your problems. Look forward to news of the first flight.

Stearmanandy
ok, back to that strut thing I screwd some custom-made extensions on this parts (yes fixed with the M2x8 screws and Epoxy), which are big enough to take a 3mm hole for on of these great engineerd parts ... some drop profile and other parts Now I assemble the struts in 30 seconds without a nasty screw driver

Rich too
Great thread, thanks for sharing. Love that motor as well, any install pics?! Rich
Stearmanandy
Hallo Rich, first installation was done with rubbers, but testing the engine on high speed, the whole model was shaking, so I asked my clubmate again (by the way 83 years old, still flying around like a teen and specialised in engines) and he said never install a twin on rubbers, the two cylinders work perfectly against each other, without any vibration, if installed fixed. So I installed the engine on some alu dinstance bits (1cm) and since that day engine is running as it should.
