Sean Craggs 2
Hi all, I have finally taken the plunge with building in balsa from a plan. The plane I chose to build is the Midget Mustang the free plan of which was in the Sept 2009 issue of the magazine. I thought that I would make life easier for myself so bought the cnc wood kit and a copy of the plan. They've sat on my shelf for a while until I've gotten around to putting things together. But it looks as if I've fallen at the first fence. The plan and wood kit do not match. The plan shows a wing made from a sheet of 9mm balsa. No spars or ribs. The wood kit that I received has wing ribs. On having a look on the plans website there is also a long midget mustang, which from the photograph appears to have ribbed wings. Has anyone built the long midget mustang plan no. RC2037. Could you confirm that the wing is built up using ribs and spars.. Thanks Sean
Sean Craggs 2
Hi I believe that I may have solved the mystery. I've used my old friend "Google", what did we do before it was available, and think I've found the answer. It looks like I have a Tony Nijhuis plan for a Midget Mustang from 2009 and a laser cut wood kit for a Peter Miller Midget Mustang from 2006. So now all I need to do is get hold of the correct plan.
