TigerOC
I am primarily interested in gliders but wanted something to help with aerobatics when the wind is not there. Built this plane from plans at Outerzone; **LINK** It has a grp fuselage using the lost foam technique and sheeted foam core wings. Tail feathers are plain balsa. Powered with EMax BL2820-07 Brushless Outrunner Motor and a 70A ESC running off 2200 3S battery. A bit overpowered but the motor was available from the estate of one of out late club members. AUW is 1.5kg. The base weight of fuselage and wing before covering and hardware was 355g each. Maidened last weekend and flew great with little trimming. Bit of a handful for me at the moment. Tested by the club "test pilot" and parked unceremoniously by myself in an adjoining field. But little damage apart from a broken prop.
