Model Identification

Recommended Posts

Does anyone recognise the model I have just bought (see pix below)?

It has 120 inch wingspan, the wings are held to the fuselage using a saddle and the ends of both wings are detachable and have a small amount of dihedral. Construction is all wood, with sheeted wings and a part sheeted fuselage.

It has had a little bit of a hard life and someone has got a bit brutal with one of the wings as the steel joiners has stuck in the brass tubes, in trying to free one, at least two ribs have been destroyed, one into teeny tiny pieces.

I can obviously make new ribs using the end of the wing as a template, but it would be a lot easier with a plan.

In addition to the wing, the tail was very easily detached!

So, a bit of repair work, a lot of stripping of old and crunchy film covering and a complete refinish are on the cards... well, it's gotta be better than watching the telly.
