Neil MacKinnon 1
As a flyer with very rusty thumbs looking for as much practice as possible I was impressed by the reviews I had seen of the U-Glider. Yes it has a few issues with servos and such, but I was aware of those so I pressed the button and waited... and waited... and waited and today I have had an e-mail from Banggood offering me a full refund as the model was rejected by Customs. Which Customs and where they don't say, but I ain't getting my U-Glider. So, can anyone offer an alternative. I want something that is around the same size (1.5m), is light, able to take a few knocks, has a motor, is quiet and is inoffensive to non flyers who will quite often be in the same locations as I am. Malcolm Fisher
How about and Ares Alara or E-scale Phoenix. Very similar foam models with high mounted pusher props. Both available, or were, from Gliders Distribution and probably other model shops. Both come as RTF or BNF versions and bounce pretty well. Neil MacKinnon 1
Thanks for that Malcolm, I'll take a look. I have also discovered the Aero-Naut LT200, a bit more construction work and a little bigger, but another possible candidate.
