RX Aerial

Hi All

I have just bought a second hand plane and with it came a 35MHz Rx.

Now on a range check it would appear that there is a problem with the range. When i put a tape on the ariel it is only 24" long but my own Rx has an aerial 39" long.

Q: has some bright spark cut the aerial or could it be made that length and the Rx tuned to the shorter aerial

I would like to say that I have spotted this before flying the plane BUT

It was after landing the plane (in one piece)  having suffered an inpromptue full down elevator dive that i looked for why.

regards

Hi Timbo,

Thank you for your reply

The Rx is

RCLINE

PPM 10 bit

35FM

Failsafe

4 channel narrow band Rx

SR-4F

This is what is written on the case of the RX I have just noticed that there is a "setup" button to set the fail safe.

Mmm fendishly clever and so small to!!!

Hope that this is enough to work out an arial lenth.

Kind Regards to all
