Firstly there is no such thing as a DX1...or for that matter a DXi6 - so I shall assume its a DX6i.

You dont say which Rx you are using.

You are doing something wrong. Read the manual very carefully about the exact procedure to follow whilst binding. Ensure the bind plug is on the battery socket, and power up with a 4 cell battery via any other Rx socket. Switch on the rx and the LEDS SHOULD BE FLASHING - then swith on the Tx with the bind switch ( trainer ) held on, and keep holding like this until leds GO SOLID. Then remove the bind plug, switch off the tx and the rx. Boot up and all should be well.

Ensure the Tx is not too close to the Rx during binding.
