Mike Craddock
In the latest RCMand E i saw an advert in the for sale section for a Hitec Optic 6 fitted with a Spectrum 2.4 module. I didnt think a Spectrum module would work in any other transmitter so how is this possible,? DOES IT WORK? as i have been waiting for Hitec to bring out a 2.4 version of the Optic 6. cRAZYP2
Tim Mackey
Yes Spektrum modules are available for other sets, including Futaba ! - which would then of course use spektrum receivers.
Mike Craddock
Hi all, Am new to the forum and have already posted a question which has been answered to a certain extent by timbo, but i wondered if anyone else had converted a Hitec Optic 6 to 2.4 ghz by changing the module for a spectrum one. I know you can get the module to fit the futaba and other transmitters but was not aware that it would also work in the Hitec Optic 6, and do you still use the original arial? Tim Mackey
I am not sure that Spektrum do a module for HiTec - I really dont know.... but I do know that you will NOT use the original aerial. ANY 2.4G set has to use a the short rubber duck style aerial
