Hi

I bought one of these from GiantCod and it work great of my depron Extra, or it did!  Gravity 1 aerial 0.

My aerial has come off but I can't really see where its meant to go I wondered if anyone has one and can give me some idea.  I have a friend you's pretty good witha soldering iron.

Anyway if you want a look at my extra its at www.keith-howlette.co.uk

Thanks

I have one of these Rxs. I can not see exactly where the aerial goes without ripping the case off. But what I can see is that if you hold the Rx with the trimming coils (metal cube things) pointing down the arial attaches to the top side of the PCB on the right hand side.

Hope this helps

Been here before!

I have bought several Corona Rx's - at least 6 now -  and each time I buy one I pass the aerial wire through a 5mm scrap of control snake inner (plastic) tube and use a hot glue gun to blob the aerial/tube onto the circuit board. This gives strain relief and in the event that the aerial wire gets snagged and breaks, allows me to re-connect it.

It's also worth noting the length of the wire on each receiver 'case'  with a felt tip - normally 1 metre exactly.

This happened to my first Corona synthesized receiver, it would not lock on to the Tx at all, after about an hour of handling it the aerial fell out. I coudn't see where it should be attached,  it was new and I sent it back to HK!
What seems to have happened is that only the aerial insulation was melted onto the board, there was no wire showing at all. Now I put a short loop in the aerial and tape it to the outside of the receiver - after testing it!
