weasel Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 can anyone give me, some advice on the running time of the the tail drive belt. how often should it be changed ? i bought the helo second hand and it came with a lot of spare parts, + 2 new drive belts. should i change it for peace of mind. regards weasel .... simon burch Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 Unless you can see some fraying of the belt or some kind of visual damage eg. nicks or tears, I would leave it alone. I've never broke a belt, and I've had some models which have had many hours of flying. If you have a new one, I guess you've nothing to lose by changing it, but personally, I don't think it would be worth the effort.
