Marc Freullet
Hi all,I have just returned to the hobby after about a 10 year layoff & allthough probably narrow minded, I have only ever had one passion, & that is building/flying gliders & slope soarers & one thing I have noticed since returning is the lack of glider kits on the market especially large span thermal soarers. Does anybody manufacture the old Algebra anymore? or has anybody got any recomendations slope or thermal?
Alistair Taylor
West Wings do some nice balsa glider kits;http://www.westwings.co.uk/although these are on the small side (no open class stuff).Try; http://www.gliders.uk.com/ although I had a look and they only seem to do one balsa glider kit - Dynaflite bird of time.If you're happy to work with foams and fibres try Phoenix Model Products and Soar Ahead Sailplanes for startershttp://www.phoenixmp.com/http://www.freewebs.com/sasepp/There are others - Bowman models still trade through Anglia Model Centre;http://www.angliamodelcentre.com/they sell several glider kits.HTHAlistairTPS - If you've recently come into a large amount of filthy lucre, you could invest in an all-moulded open-class soarer, but someone else will have built it for you.
