hi everyone im looking for some advice regaurding the installation of my radio to my raptor 50. ive got the futaba ff7 on 2.4ghz and the reciver i think is the 617fs ? what i need to know really is what plug goes where ? i know the throttle is channel 3 as to the rest i got no idea ? this is my first complete model so its all new to me and i cant understand the instructions as i dont know what the collective pitch is ? is that the top bit with the servo sat in the middle and goes up and down ?> anyway thanks for any advice you guys have to offer me

Hi everyone need some advice as to what fuel to use I'm new to heli's and I have a raptor 50 with the tt 50 pro engine fitted. I've not started the engine yet and I'm unsure as to what fuel to use ? My local model shop stocks cool power so I'd like to use this if I can but I'm unsure of what nitro content to use ? Do I use the same fuel and nitro content to run the engine in and then continue to use this for the rest of my flying ? I've had conflicting answers of what nitro % to use ? My model shop says 20% another person in the shop says 15% ? this has really confused me so any help or advice on this matter will really help me. I'm oy waiting on this answer before I can start her up and hopefully start a beautiful new hobby up ! Thanks everyone I know the advice you give me will be right advice ?

Hi everyone I'm looking for a local club in the Swindon area where I can fly my heli been looking around and the main club don't cater for helis so failing that I was hoping someone reading this who flys helis and lives in Swindon will be able to help me do u live in Swindon and fly a petrol helicopter ? Have u got the time and advice to offer to someone new to helis ? I'm desperate for some help Im a quick learner and need basicly that little bit of help to get in the air I've built my raptor 50 from a kit and need to get her finished off by setting it all up properly. Hi everyone I've got a raptor 50 and I'm looking for a scale body of the helicopters thenpolice use with the fennestrom tail I think it's a eurocopter ec135 ? Anybody know of where I will b able to source one of these ? I spent a long time trying to decide the body I want and I really like the tail design on these ?

Hi everyone been a way for a while so thought I'd try my hand at this smart little plane by tony this will only be my second bud my first one wasn't exactly a great success is it ok if I post my build and I get stuck if any of you wonderful builders who are building it will be able to give me help and advice as when I need it ? I still struggle to undrsstand what certain things mean ? So far I've cut out the wings parts 1 to 4 but not glued them together am I right in thinking that I cut the airleon out after I've glued all the wing parts together ?

hi everyone is the bottom of the fusalage filled in with 1/4" sheet ?  sorry havent got the build sequence just the plan and as this is only my second build so not very good at reading/understanding plans. thanks if anyone can help me ?

hi everyone i've just brought a second hand os 20. sorry i dont have anymore information than this as this is all that is on the side of the engine. the engine is second hand and looks quite grubby and used. what i want to know is how i can clean it up to make it look like new if i can ? also the screws holding the exhaust on and the screw in the end of the exhaust by the outlet (where the smoke comes out) sorry dont know the name of this. these are cross threaed. i've looked in the ripmax catalogue for this engine and cant find it. anyboby know if i can replace these ? also would like to extened the exhaust from the engine so that it clears the fusalage, where can i get this part from ?

lindsay, hi. can you explain to me why there is a tab on the front of the wing ribs ? was making a ply template for the ribs and cant work out why its there ? thanks

hi everyone decided that the zulu will be my next build. i've some questions though. im not really into electric more i.c so is anyone converting it this way ? is it possible to convert this way ? on the rudder there is a cut out sort of nearly half circle is this right and is this for the elevator to allow movement ? i only ask as this is only my seconed ever experiance of building ?

john thanks for your reply. my local model shop is offering me a raptor 50 and os engine to match as an artf for £299 ? didnt really want a 50 as being new the inital outlay seems excessive but have decided that this is the way foward when funds permit. until then will have to dream about learning to fly a heli !!!! i know what you are saying about all the bits to go with it. ideally want a futaba ff7, futaba 401 servo and matching servo thats nearing another3400 on top of the heli. Flying helis is not a poor mans hobby thats for sure ???

yeah thats it but mine is black. what im trying to do is make a 1/4" strip balsa ? so any help would be great ?

hi everyone just brought a balsa stripper from slec as im fed up with paying the price for strip wood that it is. the problem i have is is that it doesn't com e with any instructions. can anyone help me in telling me how it go's together ? any help will be appreciated guys as dont wont togo back to buying strip wood !

thanks everyone for the advice but im affraid some little toe~rag has broken into my garage and stolen my raptor. to top it all my insurance doesnt cover it so im back to square one. saving up again to buy another raptor now. my local modelshop is offering me a new raptor 30 with tt engine for £199.99 not sure if this a good deal or not. really wanted to build it myself so that i would have a better understanding of how it go's together and works.  what's the difference between a raptor 30 and raptor 50 apart from i presumme the engine size ? would this be a better heli for me ? as i know that bigger i.c planes are easier to learn to fly on ?
