  1. Thanks guys, looks as if I will have to solder wires together, as I will be drawing more than 10 amps, The banana plugs are only able to handel 10 amps.
  2. I currently  use 4 mm banana connectors on my batteries. I intend to connect 4 x 3s 2200mah lipo batteries, to make up a total load of 6s (22.2 volts) and a capacity of 4400 mah. I cannot seem to find a double connetor for a banana type plug. Has any modeler had this problem befor  and if so how have you overcome it.
  3. Thanks Timbo, all the information I need you have been a great help.
  4. Timbo thanks for your reply, following your advice it would appear that i will need to get 2 Li-Po 4s 3200mAh packs so that I can drive a large prop. Could you please expand on the motor that you will use, as I am still not fully awear of  Low kv (440) ect.
  5. I have nearly finished a Flare model of a Bristol F2b biplane, the model will weigh approx 8-9lbs, it is recommended that a 60size four stroke is used to power it. I would like to convert it to electric power, I guess I will need a 800/900 watt outrunner motor with suitable ESC. The problem is I do not Know what size battrie I should use.   1. Question what size batt would I require to give a reasonable flight time.   2. Question depending on what size batterie I would require, could I use 3s pi-po 2200ma batts wired up in series/parrealle of the same make, as I do have some of these batteris that I use on my Foam delters that I fly with great fun.
  6. Checked them out this morning yes they have had it, only 3mins run time. lesson learned  I need to be very carefull as to how I treat my Li-Po's in future
  7. Thanks for the help Guys. Garry they were charged in the garage can't be sure of the temp when I charged them, but it was certainly warmer than of late, so it would appear that I have overcharged them. I did charge them in the house when I got back from flying to do a bench test. Today I did manage to put a bit more capacity in the batts by charging them at about .5 of an amp. Will give them a test run on the bench in the mornning, thanks again.
  8. Has the COLD WEATHER  damaged my Li-Po's? I kept them in the garage over the last 2 weeks fully charged (and its been very cold) went flying today with 3 battery packs, I only got about 4 mins flight out of each battery pack. When I got home I put them on charge the problen is after 10 mins the charger bleeps to say that the batt is charged. I put it back in the model and bench run it lasted only 1 min, and it was the same for the other 3. The Li-Po's are Rhino2150  3cell 11.1volt  and I have had no problems up to this point. The charger is a Multiplex LN3008 EQU.
