  1. I apologise if anyone has been waiting for an update on my progress with the P - 51 Mustang PTS but I have been in hospital for a few weeks and as such my plans have been delayed. I am back home recovering now and intend building whilst I recover and plan to fly this plane sometime after Xmas if the weather allows. I will post build pictures and flying pictures as I go (presuming I can fathom out how to post them!!! Where's a 14 year old when you need them?)
  2. Hello Jeff How far on are you with your Mustang? I am in the process of putting one together but will not get chance to fly it for another couple of weeks. Have you got yours into the air yet? And if you have..................how have you got on? Also what engine have you used? I am using an OS 56 four stroke. When I have fathomed out how to post pictures on this forum I will stick some up of my build and first flying efforts. Regards Colin
  3. Hi Kelvin What a great collection of planes! It looks like your interests are similar to mine. Like you I have been getting time on a G4 sim just to get rid of some of the rust from my thumbs. I have started to build my Mustang and hope to fly it in a couple of weekends time (weather permitting). I have bought a 4 stroke OS engine which will be a new venture for me as 4 strokes were not around when I last flew so that will be an interesting experience. As I fathom out how to post pictures on this forum I will put some up of my build and first flying efforts and I may start a thread about the Hanger 9 PTS Mustang as I think it is a great idea if it works. I just wish they had made a Spitfire version!! Once again, loved your warbirds!! Cheers Colin
  4. Hi Kelvin How have you 'got on' with the Spit? I hung my liver over one but decided to excersize some restraint. I fully intend to go for a Spit and maybe a Corsair after I have regained 'the touch'. I think you have been very bold and I hope you are enjoying your return. Regards Colin
  5. Hello All Just returning to R/C flying after a gap of 35 years!!  I used to fly with my Grandad at Barkston Heath in the mid 70's but when he gave up I could no longer carry on so my interest faded. At the time I used to fly a Chipmunk (4 channel) and used Futaba gear and OS engines so it is nice to see them still in use. One thing that has struck me is that Radio gear costs about the same number of £'s as they did back then!! I have just bought one of the Hanger 9 P - 51 Mustang PTS ARTF kits which is rather apt as I am joining a club based at the old WW2 Lancaster base at Metheringham in Lincolnshire and will no doubt keep you all posted on my progress. Best Wishes to all Colin
