Ross, the select "channel" should have been "model" Non blinking sugests you are not in bind mode on Tx

Used plasterboard for years now. Have not found it to crumble unless exposed at edges and I have taped round the cut edges to stop it breaking off. I purchased an old dining table which provide a good rigid base

I have Algebra's 800 and a 1000. The quirk on the 1000 is that the tail plane's were both made the same resulting in one generating positive lift negated by the other.
I sucessfully destroyed the Fuz of the 1000 by my lack of experience and constant hitting tera-firma to hard. This took me on another experience as I made a mould and built a fibreglass fuz, however modified for electric. Superb model to fly but I can confirm an absolute nightmare to get all the gear in. It amazed me the ammount of lead in the noze which I replaced by getting the biggest motor/battery combination but still needing lead. Not going to comment about CoG as I find I adjust to what I find comfortable which must be within those mentioned

I thought this was put to bed. There is no suggestion of incompetence in the way they have made the refund etc. My point about incompetence is that they would rather loose a sale and a customer by not using another carrier. Now "Your fired"
-
I agree there is no point in continuing on this subject. My last comment is that I emailed KL this morning and asked if they posted to IV. I still await a single word reply "Yes" or "No" but it could be half day but silence speaks volumes.
-
You need to read my post Charlie. I said they are incompetent you did not . I also said "if a customer is made aware of additional charges" so no loss to supplier and really not that difficult to use another courier.
Im afraid in this climate business need to chase sales and not adopt "we only do it this way" attitude
"Oh well, I Tried" as Lord Sugar would say "Your fired" as not sufficient effort.
-
I read some utter nosence here. Because the courier are "contracted" to them they are unable to use any other courier?. Lord Sugar would look at them and it would certainly be "Your Fired". In these days a pound is a pound and if a customer is made aware of additional charges then its up to the supplier to put the extra effort in. Please do no try to make excuses for incompetence by blaming couriers.

Its really no problem in understanding how companies go bust. "the courier does not ship to that post code", so what! ! Its the LMS that decides who he uses to ship his sales and with such a lame excuse its pathetic I just looked on Parcelforce's webb site " Same price anywhere in the UK" and I assume others are the same.
Purchasers in the remote areas appreciate that they may be asked to pay a bit more so please do not pass the blame to the courier when it is simply the suppliers incompetence.

Tom you are lucky you can walk to the shop. Unfortunately many rely on post and KL do not appear interested. Perhaps the next time you are in the shop mention they are getting free publicity on this forum

WHAT, a tuppney happeny company cannot deliver to the other end of the UK and yet I can order from the other side of the world. Are you sure its because of your IV (Moray) address or are they out of stock. If its because of IV then I am sure your local MP (Alex Salmond ???, Scotlands First Minister) would delight in dropping them a polite wee note to get their act together. Utter nonsense and any business that can decline an order will soon be out the box. Really infuriates me these companies that cannot see further than Watford Gap.

thanks for letting us no Marty. The reason I asked is if it was an ar500 then it dont work. Although I do not have a Dx7 I would go along with Rusty.
Good luck and keep us informed. If you can only get one aileron running then you can make it a pylon racer

What Rx have you purchased?

I have seen a few comments about 2.4 being to expensive. I have converted my Futaba Tx's to 2.4 using the Frsky system and am very impressed and for not a lot of cash. May be a cheap solution to glitches.

Thanks for the info Chris. I do understand the operation procedure when in training mode however not with the Dx8. It would appear that the Dx8 is taking total control I can find no reference tp P-link in the Dx6i which prompted the question Very useful and can save a lot of time when setting up
-
P-link? Whats all this about? Where is this in the Dx6i?

On a diferent forum I accused a pilot of being totally irresponsible. His idea of fun was to fly into the clouds so his model disappeared and then put a dive in and then search it out. He could not understand that I considered this iresponsible as he had done it many times and had not lost a model.
Was I being over cautious ?

In two instances I had a delay in delivery from the far east and in both cases received an instant refund with no questions asked. The items turned up and I notified the suppliers who subsequently invoiced me. It appeared to me that these suppliers were concerned about their feedback rating and reacted accordingly. I thought it was excellent service but I suppose one bad apple can upset the apple cart.

You are spot on FB3. I also have TT eHawk and it needs power most of the time although if you can find a thermal it will soar. As I said with changing the power train in the Nebula I have reduce a considerable amount of weight and find a thermal and it will stay up all day. The biggest problem is finding the thermal

As a result of your initial posting I converted my RD6000 and with your info it was very easy to do. I had previous issues with this Tx due to my errors and would not use it for aircraft. I now use it on model cars
I have subsequently converted two Futaba Txs a 6 & 7 chanel with no problems and am now going to change the 7ch to have telemetry.
Thanks for your initial posting

I have a few Nebula models which are very similar to the EP and all converted to outrunner. I also have a Radian Pro. It is a good flier but very soon looses its appearance with the foam scratching. It will not take heavy landings and breaks quite easily although I have managed to glue it back together with EHU and tape.
-
Changed mine to an outrunner with 3S lipo and it transformed the model in light wind days.. The weight does help in the wind but if you like put in a bigger heavier lipo or some lead.
-
Well I get totally bemused by the english speaking comentators so perhaps an advantage in not understanding the language
-
What indication did you get from the Rx? Checked battery and all connections? If you have lost confidence I would discard whole power train, battery, wiring, esc and Rx. I have had no issues with orange but it could happen.
-
Thanks very much for that info Chris. The next question is how you manage to grow extra fingers for all these switches?????Thanks again

Unfortunately prices have gone up at least 20%. My order on way from HK is now 30% cheaper than "The Big Shark"
