  8. Hi,  I have recently purchased a cloud dancer with an Irvine 46 up front. This model came with all the electrics but one thing that worries me is that the receiver is a Futaba R114F (park flyer receiver) and the range might not be enough. Could I fly with this one or to be safer should I change it to a full range?
  9. I will try that. Thanks for that advice Martin!
  10. I have been gived some diesel engines that are gummed up and was hoping that there are some ideas about  ways of ungumming them without disassembling them.
  11. My tank is well padded and the engine is well secure and the prop is balanced so I think I will give the silicone a try. I presume it is a drop in the fuel can?   Matt
  12. Hi all ye wise people, I have padded the tank of the model in question but still get foamy  fuel in the tank - the engine is a sc 52 four stroke. Is there perhaps anything liquid that I can add to the fuel to stop this condition?   Hoping that help will be at hand. Cheers Matt
  13. Hi David,   The needle valve has no holes at the top and the needle itself goes all the way up and is secured at the top (where you screw it in or out) thus making it impossible to drill incase of damage.   Your mention of the use of a piece of plastic or fuel tube is most welcome and I will use this method if no other enthusiast comes up with a more suitable idea.   Cheers Matt
  14. I have fitted a Enya SS40 into a four star forty plane that I have just completed building and have not forseen the problem that the needle valve is far too short to be set and will have to somehow be extended.   Has anyone got an idea on how to do this as I have no clue how to approach this one   -  I will need about three quarter to an inch extention.   All ideas are welcome.   Cheers Matt
  15. Thanks to the Engine Doctor and John for the input!! The weather in Scotland is a bit dodgy at the moment but I will use this info on the first most pleasant flyable day in the near future. Cheers Matt
