Posted by Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 12/10/2018 12:35:21: I don't think we need two threads on what many see as an utterly tedious topic of very little relevance to model aeroplanes! BEB That is why it is in the chat section is it not?

that is the norm on most TXs. Unless as stated above it has a model match facility to prevent this. A model is LIVE with a battery connected. Imagine the potential damage if your friend had run up the prop on one restrained model whilst the one he placed back in the pits is busy chewing through the other club members behind him I often bring my young son with me to the field. If I had observed a member doing something similar stern words would have followed Edited By Phil 9 on 04/10/2018 06:28:30

here is my take and it echo's some comments above I use stick on Velcro to stop the battery moving back and forth and use a strap to tie it down. or I have used foam pieces glued in to make a battery tray to stop lateral movement I guess you could wrap Velcro around a battery and attach it to itself so it wont un-stuck but I much prefer to fix the strap to the body of the model Edited By Phil 9 on 30/09/2018 17:34:28

Mobile phones and flying, what are your thoughts?

what if you have a model that uses a phone as the controller -
may thanks for all the replies. I guess £300 is not a great deal of money these days but still it is not something I can afford to lose out on

one thing that has not ben commentated on her (and that is to their credit) is the German modelers. Having lived in Germany for a while I know they would have had doubts about potentially representing Nazi Germany. But they are helping to tell the storey without bias. they are showing true dignify and also bringing with them a sense of humour and fun. They obviously have a true passion for the hobby -
Posted by Richard Wills 2 on 18/09/2018 23:03:53: , obviously properly tracked. well that is my question really what is properly tracked. last time I had a problem was with the post office. I sent my mum a Christmas present signed for and it was never delivered. although I had proof of postage it was never delivered. they handed me a long form and they said fill this out and they will investigate it. result of the investigation "item lost" I was refunded the price of postage only.

Posted by Tony Bennett on 05/09/2018 16:12:55: i just hope they focus on the aircraft and not on "personalities" like most tv shows do these days. fingers crossed for a great and interesting show. Tony B they seem to have found suitably diverse group of modelers. some of them don't seem to have flown a model before ie the Navy full size pilot. Edited By Phil 9 on 09/09/2018 20:33:39 -

I would love a plotter/cutter for producing my own vinyl stickers and paint masks . Has anyone here have any experience with this. I have never used one before so are the tricky to use. What would be a good entry level model to buy
