Love that rescue shot Frank 😀

Lovely shots Andy.
Just in passing, and seeing your shots, I've started a new thread in the photography board for folks to leave their drone pics.

It seems appropriate to start a new thread in the Photography board so we can all show off the pics taken using our photography drones. Phantom, Mavics, Minis etc.

From Alex's Facebook page:
While we feel deep sorrow at Alex Whittaker’s passing on Friday 15th July, we would like to thank everybody for their love and support during this time through their calls, texts, posts, cards and flowers. We want to celebrate all of our happy, joyous memories of him and would like any friends and family to attend to share this moment.A funeral service will be held at St James Church, Holywell, CH87PN on Wednesday 27th July at 3:00PM followed by a service at Denbighshire Memorial Park and Crematorium, St Asaph LL170LG.Alex lived life to the fullest and took every opportunity to celebrate. He would want us all to celebrate together on this occasion. We ask that anybody planning to attend kindly wear bright floral colours as will the family in memorial of Alex’s trademark bright coloured shirt selection! This is of course optional, you are welcome to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.Please note no flowers.Thank you.- 1

Nice Centi Phase David, but I am really interested in the tail less swept flying wing in the same picture - any details please?
You can PM me so as not to hijack the thread onto a different topic.
Thanks John M
It’s an own-design from my slope flying buddy Paul. Must be around 3m span but that’s all I know.
His excellent blog is here if you want to make contact: http://goodwindsoaring.blogspot.com -
Difficult to know what to say, such awful news. Alex was one of a kind, irreplaceable.

Previously the archive went back to Jan 2007.

Perfect, C of G was my next question!
My model has a removable tail section, is that normal?

Fabulous, thanks Gary. No, it’s in good shape and doesn’t seem to have been flown much.
There’s still the hardwood block for the screw so producing the tray shouldn’t be difficult. 👍😉- 1

I've just acquired a second hand Dart but without servos or the servo tray that slips into the fus'. I can make one of course but wondered if anyone has a template or pic of theirs for guidance.

Looks like an excellent site GG, and you must really have to try hard to put one in a tree ?

Can someone tell my why my photos appear to be of such poor quality on the forum when they're pin sharp and much less grainy when viewd direct on my PC?
My above post is a test as the tech guys have tweaked photo quality (compression). What do we think? -

Yes, I've noticed that too. I'll see what I can find out.

Kwiksilver? That's a proper blast from the past.... you don't have a Suzie Q and a Soarcerer as well do you?
No, although I seem to be accumulating older gliders at a frightening rate. Just added a part-built Phase 6 to next winter's project pile.

Hmm, I've done that too. About 20 years ago I was in the car, motor running ready to leave and leaning out of the window chatting to someone, as I did that a chap came up and deposited his model in front of my car where it was invisible, completely obscured by my bonnet. I think he assumed I would reverse but I went forward. I noticed guys waving as I was moving and waved back, then noticed they seemed a bit frantic so stopped. The Flair Magnatilla in question was a write off and I felt awful but the chap conceded that he shouldn't have left it there. He admitted he didn't like flying it but I gave him a model I had recently decommissioned and he appreciated the gesture. Recently, at my other club, someone reversed over an Arrow's EDF Hawk.
All you can do is laugh and move on. Folks just need to appreciate that these things just happen from time to time. Perhaps in your case John each party has things going on in their lives that aren't helping their temperament?

Ahem…..😉. Flew my Freewing Venom last week for the first time this year. I’d forgotten how nice it is, pretty decent endurance too. Handily Graham was there with a camera.
