  1. My replacement retracts for my Starmax Mustang are giving me an headache ! I cannot get them to synchronize. Altering the (R) or (N), does not help. Is it possible to synchronize them via my Spectrum Dx6i transmitter; if so how ? Or is there some otherway ??? Eric.
  2. How do I put a video onto the forum ???
  3. My order is for retracts that weigh 182 gram; so I suspect that is the reason for the postage rate.
  4. Hobbyking UK postal charges are getting extravagant . 8.00 plus minimum .
  5. Hi Chris, It`s not maidend yet ! It`s now ready, and I`m taking it to the field, when I go flying, just in case you or Tony B,are there. No way will I maiden it myself ! Regarding this post about retracts, my research has highlighted the weakness of the original retracts on this model. So I`m just using my Boy Scouts principle of "Be Prepared". So I`m still looking for an alternative. Regarding Cuban8, suggestion, the mounting plate dimensions are too large !!
  6. I have a Starmax P51-D 1600 mm Mustang, flying weight 2700g and I need to replace the original retracts ( too weak). Though the E.flite 24-46,85 deg are suitable, I`m reluctant to spend approx. £105.00. Therefore, I`m hoping someone knows of a less expensive replacement for my retracts. Thanks Eric.
  7. Just been informed by HK that my claim is valid.
  8. Yes, it is a 3700 mAH. I actually did not check the voltage but it was obvious that it was only a 3 cell. From HK battery list I ordered a ZC 3700mAH 4s 25c lipo, dimensions 148x33x44mm, weight 387g. £19.63. What I received was a ZC 3700mAH 3s 25c lipo, dimensions 146x19x43mm, weight 305g. price £14.82.
  9. What way is there to check the function of a pre-owned speed controller ??
  10. It was too late, I had already presses "Add Posting" !!
  11. The balance lead was the only thing I did not check but all my other checks point to a 3 cell. I ordered from Hobbyking UK but I`ve only experienced hassle and delay !
  12. June 30th,, ordered from Hobbyking uk a Zippy Compact 37000mah 4s 25c lipo battery. It arrived two days later but on looking closely at the battery, I realised that it was a 3 cell but it was marked by a marker pen as a 4 cell. The difference was in the weight, voltage and size. I promptly, contacted Hobbyking support and what a lot of hassle that is. I filled in the RMA form, took a photo of the battery, submitted the post office tracking number and to where sent (UK). All these individual requests were made on a daily basis. Then finally I was asked to submit the post office notification of delivery. Today, I`ve received an e.mail confirming that they have received the battery and following further evaluation it will require 1 or two more weeks. I dare not order another 4 sell as they may have a batch of incorrectly marked batteries. Today is the 13th ! LOL. Edited By ericrw on 13/07/2015 16:52:51
  13. Is it possible to balance a 4 bladed propeller ??
  14. Hi, I have in the past put two 3 cell batteries in series, eg two 3 cells to make a 6 cell output but is it ok to put a 3 cell with a 2 cell to make a 5 cell. I wondered if it is acceptable, to put together odd number of cells.
  15. Hi Chris, at least I know who you are now ! It is installed in the P51. Max and I have tried all the known procedures but to no avail ! I just have to wait for the beeping to stop !! The ESC is stated to be a 80amp with BEC. In my research, there is doubt, expressed by other users that it is only 70amp. I will consider bringing it to a Club meeting. Eric.
  16. Hi Chris, it`s how I said, I have to wait from 5 to 30 secondsfor the beeping to stop and then there`s a sound like a click and every thing works. A real mystery ! Cheers, Eric.
  17. I had to vacuum and tidy up afterwards !
  18. Bought at Long Marston show. P51 Mustang, 1600 w/s, retracts including tailwheel. navigation lights. Isn`t she beautiful !! Eric.
  19. Hi Phil, I`ve tried that but the beeps are continuos. I now have to wait till they stop by themselves and then there is a click and everything works ! A real mystery !!
  20. It`s difficult to say whether it`s the motor or ESC.
  21. Hi Pete, It`s the motor. Eric.
  22. I`ve been trying all the suggested comments ! I`ve now discovered that if I allow the beeping to continue it will stop on it`s own accord and everything is normal in operation ! The length of beeping can be as short as 5 seconds to 30 seconds. But as to why, I just don`t know !!!
  23. I`m trying to bind my Spectrum AR6210 receiver to my Spectrum DX6i transmitter. It appears to bind correctly, the light flashes then stays solid but there`s a continuous beeping sound and no response from the transmitter. I`ve tried keeping the transmitter at least 6 feet away but to no avail. Please advise. Eric.
  24. That shows the 3 wire extension lead plugged in the two wire lead from the esc. As recommended by you and Frank.
