  1. Just been looking at arrow models site & the Cermark edge 540 take my fancy. Anyone had any experience with this brand or model?
  2. Oh Yeah, Strange they didn't put it on the RFT though!! Weird!
  3. I can see the benefits over the last P-51D, but it would have been so nice to see a different model!! Sorry Parkzone, but i won't be spending my cash on this one. Doesn't even have 2.4Ghz! Seems there taking a step back with this one!
  4. Any news Yet? The new sukhoi looks a nice little model.
  5. Ian, So it was you i was bidding against!!!!!! Well done on your win  My Twinjet is still in my shed looking very sad for itself, it did its job teaching me the basics of flight, i loved it! Always wanted to go mono brushless with another, but as i said, someone beat me to it! No hard feelings! Saw this thread, might be of interest MONO JET  Please let us know how it turns out, pics aswell!
  6. Thanks Ed, i'm really coming round to these great motors, read lots of good reports on them! You certainly get value for many when comparing them with much more expensive motors. I'll try & do a search for your article, should be here somewhere.. Dave?
  7. Not sure they'll blow up mate. Just discharge them using a light bulb over night to make sure totally drained . Have bucket of salt water at hand, wearing gloves, stab with a stanley blade & plop in water again over night, then just throw in the bin, safe to discard as no harmful chemicals come out. Hope this helps!
  8. Thanks John. David's link on his reply just took me to a very model holding a model!! Nice but sure had nothing to do with motors! This is just a practice link to see if works! Click on it at your own perel !! try this!
  9. Been looking at the range of scorpion brushless on Micron R/C website (really helpful guys)  Here is a very useful comparison chart of all there Scorpion motors against most others on the market.   here   Has anyone got any comments on these?
  10. I've still yet to maiden mine, went out yesterday with my Art-tech Mustang in a brisk breeze & must say it handled it well, changed the prop from the naff 4 blade to a PZ spit prop & that really does help.   Anyway, i've seen some guy on youtube launch  the PZ corsair by holding it from the top, just behind cockpit and underarm throwing, seemed to work well, anyone else tryed it?
  11. Just remembered that due to the weight of the Hi Fly (plywood fuse!) I rebuilt the fuse with laminate balsa & it made a considerable difference (flying to Falling)! Lovely floater with the weight loss. Still tucked up in shed, prob a fuel shoaked now though.
  12. lecky's   1- ThunderBolt 2- AT -6 Texan 3- T -34 Mentor
  13. Hi Everyone, After a long break from building as a lad, my first R/C was a Precedent Hi Fly Glider which taught me the basics of flying. It had a cox 049 strapped to the top, which would allow fairly good flights on those warm summer evenings! I've since got back into flying with a range of foamies from a Twinjet to Stryker, various Parkzones & GWS's & now have just got hold of an Ultrafly Yak 54 with a power 25 & 4s lipos inside!  Think i will be spending some time on Pheonix before that one comes out! I also like to whirl out the contra rota Jet Ranger heli, but just haven't got the patience to go the whole hog! RCM&E is a fantastic mag which i have picked up many times over the years & have lots of issues put aside with the free plans of some great models to build, probably get  round to them when i retire! Only 30 years to go then! TOO many artf's out there & too little time to build. Great Forum. Keep up the excellent work lads!
