Hi , thanks Timbo,' a  senior moment '. I apologise both to you and Mr Hawes, when I first tried to contact him I wasn't aware that I could do so as this system was not running as such then. The question was re- his great effort in crossing the Channel and some details of the aircraft. Thanks for your correction, we 'old Coddgers' are  not  upto speed on such things as forums and as a first and only attempt I 'screwed up!.  

I've been trying for some time to contact Nigel Dawes to seek some advice from him but after obtaining assistance from  David Ashby passing on my e-mail  still no contact. Maybe he is too private a person and does not wish to be contacted(or bothered) but then he shouldn't be writing articles and offering opinions in the magazine.  All he has got to do is reply to say he doesn't enter into corresponence re his subject
