Hi Prop,
Two years ago I rescued a part-built Magnatilla from the loft. It had been there since...
1991!
It just needed the aileron connection to sort out, the wings to cover, & a little hangar
rash to fix.
It's a mk1, which has a different front end construction from the current Maggie
& possibly slightly heavier overall construction.
It's powered by a Tornado Thumper 4260 600Kv motor with a Scorpion 55A ESC
and a 4S 3700 Lipo.On a 15x7 prop the current draw is 35A which gives around 525W
& 85-90W per lb with the AUW a shade under 6lb.
It needed a fair bit of noseweight to get the CG right so I fitted a chunky 2200 Sub C
NiMh behind the bulkhead.
It flies very well with no shortage of power. Low passes & touch and goes are great fun.
I'm going to experiment with a little down thrust as it does tend to climb a little on
full power.
The Magnatilla is at the front, the one at the back is an electric Attila - which flies well too.
Cheers,
Richard
