Read Colin Nolans article on the Black Horse Bird Dog with interest today. Other than a good review the part I was really interested in was the engine problems experience with the J'EN 57. Colin described perfectly the self same issue I had with this engine in another Black Horse model, the Home Run. The fuel tank in that model also sits well back in the fuselage and I suffered the same 'stutter and surge' behaviour with the J'EN. I swapped the J'EN for my trusty Thunder Tiger 46 and have not had a problem since. I did call Just Engines about this issue and they suggested a fuel pump which seemed a little like overkill to me. Have others had issues with the tank location on Black Horse models or lack of pressure from J'EN engines?
