  1. Hi guys, anyone else out there building the Zero? I'm more than half way through construction. Would be nice to have someone else to compare and swap ideas? John
  2. I'm having real trouble with the ailerons, they won't return to centre. Either the push rods are not thick enough and have too much bend, or the the holes that the push rods connect too have worn away? Cheesed off cos it means surgery to get at the servos. My fault really, I should have made servo hatches! Anyway here's a few pictures of the now, not completed model
  3. Thanks guys, as it happens I put a speaker system in my old Ripmax mustang last week for testing purposes. I gave it a chuck and it went haywire, totally out of control. luckily it done a greaser the right way up and the only damage was the spinner. I presume the speaker system interfered with the 35mhz RX. Never had a glitch before. It was then that I decided I needed to go 2.4. !!! I've installed 2.4 into the mustang, and I'm just waiting for the weekend to give it a go. Let's hope it works cos the speaker system sounds great and I want to install them in some of my other models John
  4. I have been using 35mhz and have been very reluctant to make the switch to 2.4mhz. Mainly cos I was scared I wouldn't understand the technology, and I have 20 plus models with 35mhz rx's in em. However I've bit the bullet and bought a TGY i10. Bind a recicever!!! WTF is bind a reciever, it should just work shouldn't it? I've re_read the instructions, done as they say, and I can honestly say, it's a different level! ! Ok, I've bought an entry level TX, But once you understand what's going on, Wow!!!! It's fabulous, so intuitive and so easy to follow. Iove it, love it love it!!!
  5. Hi Danny, recieved the stencils on Monday, much appreciated and very kind of you. Thanks John
  6. That's super Danny, I've ordered the roundels from pyramid models, so the addition of stencils will top it off Thanks John
  7. Really,? That would be very kind of you. I would love them thanks I'll pm you my address. I can send you payment for p postage
  8. Hi Danny, a larger battery was the perfect solution. A 5s 4300 balance's perfect. Did my initial set up trials;5s 4300 25c 12 x 8 Weight 6lbs 4oz 1024 watts 54 amps I reckon that's about 160 watts per pound? Enough to be flying by the seat of my pants. I might put a larger prop in t. Bring the wwattage down to fly more scale like Nearly there, just need the roundels and lettering and then on to flying Cheers John
  9. Done a bit of calculating, 550 to 600grams of battery weight gives me a bit of forward c of g, so ordered a 5s 4000which weighs in at 650, which will enable me to have a bit of plus or minus, hopefully?
  10. Hi Danny, did you have to put any weightup front? Just sorting out c of g. I read it as being 90 mil from the leading edhe. I put a 5S 3000 in and it's coming out quite a bit tail heavy ? Thanks John

  14. Still working on it. This is the colour scheme I've choosen. Don't know why, cos I know how much of a nightmare it is painting invasion stripes. Also silver is very much one dimentional. Needs shading and stuff.
  15. This scale thing is taking over my life? He He
