  1. Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement balance lead for the GT Power A6-10? It plugs into the balance port of the charger). Tried on google but no luck. No support info in the charger manual either. Any info appreciated Edited By Hawker on 03/04/2012 19:08:35
  2. I am contemplating buying this plane, but I am uncertain as to what motor to buy. On the BRC website it recommends a thumper V2 T-3536-5, but when you look up the spec for this motor it says it's a 600W motor. This is at odds with the recommended power of 350-450W for the Spit in the BRC blurb, and their description against this Thumper motor which is 450W.   Having read some of the posts in this forum, it would seem that 300W is plenty.   I happen to have a Himax HC3528-1000 motor, 450W. Bearing in mind that:   Thumper motor weight is 110G as against the Himax's 197G,   Thumper is 55mm long (incl shaft) as against 82mm long for the Himax,   Thumper depth is 36mm, as against 55mm for the Himax   Could I use the Himax? I recognise that some mods to the motor mounts might be needed.   Any advice welcome
  3. I am still looking at the possibility of using a flight 3 axis joystick + throttle slider instead of 2 sticks. I want to control all aero surfaces (ie elevator/aileron/rudder/yaw & throttle on one stick.   The implementation on a Futaba Tx will be easier than on my current Spectrum DX6i, simply due to hardware issues (wiring space being one of them).   Could say the Futaba 6EXP FASST 2.4gHz Radio 6ch Tx transmissions be received & bound to spectrum receivers?   Any advice welcomed!

    RC Joystick

Hi all,   I have restricted movement in my left hand and fingers, which although I can fly my models safely, would prefer to be able to control all functions with the right hand & fingers. This, I feel, would give me much smoother throttle and rudder/yaw control.   I have seen various articles saying that all you need to do is to transfer the wires on the transmitter stick potentiometers to the corresponding joystick potentiometers. My tx is a DX6i.   Is this the case - does anyone know of such a mod?   If it were OK - which is the most appropriate joystick to use?
