  1. Give t9 hobbysport a call on 03456809549 they are the uk frsky main people, plus what is a 12v sla ?

They have two showing on their web site, but both are for lipo batteries

  2. So doing it online, you have to print your own bmfa membership off, no plastic protection on it, I got a reply back from the bmfa, well when it gets torn or grubby print another. If i renew through the club or on the phone, will i get the proper one, plastic covered ? And for all who are going to moan, DO NOT BOTHER. I just want something to put in my wallet, and when i need to produce it it can, without it falling to bits

  3. Hi all, looking for an explanation, with cppm output from a Orange dsmx rx. I have been playing with a wireless training setup with two DX6I transmitters, using the orange rx with cppm. We it all works but why does the channel order come out different in cppm mode, It came out in Futaba mode. i.e. Channel 1 Ailerons,2 elevator, 3 throttle, 4 Rudder. we got around this by changing channel assignment. We as club have a dx6i as the club tx. we are going to buy a dx6e, as we can then train both mode 1 and 2. as it is a simple switch on the tx to change modes. The dx6e is wireless and no jack plug hence the cppm choice. and i know i can buddy the dx6e to the 6i wireless but i need the 6e to be the slave , so not possible

  4. Steve J. The difference would be. people might take a bit more care, if they know it will cost them £50. A very very small number of people even in our sport just do not care what they do, so as long as they are ok.

  5. At our club, we are looking at replacing the mower, so i have askes Any Simmons what security measures we require for the mower to be covered, I have read somewhere that property must be secured. But i can put a £1 padlock on the shed or a £20. Both are secure, but one more so ?

  6. Just been reading the rules for making a claim, and there is no excess to pay these days. So maybe look at bringing the £50 excess back. I am sure it will stop some of the claims for people damaging other models , then claiming

  7. The BMFA gave two reasons for the £4 rise, lost members and projected to loose more next year and no rebate because of the number of claims. Club committees, and club safety officers can and should do more to reduce claims. site layout, car parking . what members can fly.

  8. Peter Christy. i do know that you have or had to pay if there was a claim. £50 as it was about 5 years ago. One of our club members stupidly put his Acrot Wot in the hands of an old man that had only ever done 3 channel. When he lost control and it hit a fisherman in the head, knocking him of his stool and into the water, Lucky for him there was someone there to pull him out. (he fell in as well) , we had the air ambulance, paramedic, then the ambulance, the plane and the prop him on the side of his head , missed his temple by 1 inch. As a club we informed the BMFA, filled the accident for in they sent and paid £50. We never heard anything else. The fool that was the cause of the accident left the club after more issues, because the committee put restrictions on him. Then let him back 2 years later

  9. Brian Dorricott. If you need another SC 46 i have a spare. Had very little use, looks like new. Yours for £45, posted, and i also have a OS 46 AX also in near perfect condition £60 posted, Both not used anymore as i only fly 4 strokes now

  10. I note the viper fuel is stated as containing 18pc oil.

    Quote 'to comply with warrantee'

Is that a new thing for weston fuel?

I spoke to Weston years ago, about this. I was told that the 18% was at the request of some buyers, as they wanted 18%. Most engine instructions from yesteryear stated a minimum of 15/20 oil. back in the days of Castor. modern oils are much better. When i first bought some weston fuel , i bought 1/2 gal of all there fuels. both 5 and 10 % nitro. we found the 10% the best. The Viper with the 18% smoked and cough a bit.
