  3. Posted by Gaz Elliott on 16/07/2012 14:52:37: MMMh It depends on how damaged your wing is??? The right wing ( as viewed from the rear ) is the one with damage to the leading edge and ribs the left one(as viewed from the rear) has a few punctures and damage to the tip . Fuse is a no go as i have already stripped it out and the engine mount was U/S and the tail was N/A. Hi GAZ, So sorry to hear about your accident. The funtana is a great plane.. the power 2 wight ratio is really amazing.. its very light and flies great.. I have noticed to issues on my funtana, first as you can see from my previous posts.. the landing gear ( Shame on horizin) They did send me a new fuselage.. after debating with their tech support for weeks.. another thing is the ( it likes to fly tail heavy and will alwyas bubble on landings..) i have noticed that triming it that way is almost impossible.. its will either ballon up.. or go down.. the only solution was to add more weight to the nose.. which fixed the issue of balloning on landings.. Hope you can post some pics of the damage.. Cheers

  5. HI Stephen,   Used Robart Hinges instead... works great.. but needed a lot of work to add some Balsa.. But it flies great now.. But its a very heavy plane..   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  6. I used radio south ca hinges on all the controlls. I hope the will hold. I also sent horizon the video and waiting for their reply. I have a pulse 60 from H9 that I have abused for many years and never had a problem. With the funtana it's defiantly a manufacturing defect. I would understand if this happened after at least 30 flights but not on the first one.
  7. Posted by Steve W-O on 28/11/2011 05:16:29: Very surprised to see the wheels fall off.   Wouldn't be any good for me, I often land sideways, would be off on the first landing. (Well, that's what happened anyway, so I must remember never to consider one ) HI Steve, I totally agree... its disappointing for a company such as H9 to produce a kit with such a flaw.. but then again.. maybe someone in china was a bit sleepy..   Cheers,   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  8. Hi Gaz,   Its a great model indeed, but for a company such as Horizon Such mistakes should not exist.. I am not saying a made the best landing in the world.. It was not a great landing at all.. but it was not hard as well... I tried to correct while on the runway.. and BUffff... Landing gear is gone.... @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  9. thx Phil... @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  10.   This is the maiden flight for my funtana 125.. On approch and after landing.. there was a cross wind.. when i came to correct... the wind pushed the wings and the landing gear came off.. It was not the right way to correct but definatly not strong enough to break the landing gear .. see for yourself and let me know what you think. http://youtu.be/BJRlQmhVm-8   Every time i try to add a youtube video.. its says can't find page??  Cheers   Edit CB - video corrected.  Please read tutorial here for adding videos.   11. HI,   I have hitec 5625MG digital servo on all my controls including throttle on my funtana 125.. did not maiden yet... during the engine break-in the throttle servo failed..... ( Brand new servo).. EPA set to 10% lower.. No binding... nothing... after further inspection.. the circuit board was fried..??   right now i have no idea if I should keep the rest of the servos, or just replace the one.....   Take care from these servos.. and let me know if you have had same problems with these servos..   Cheers,   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);

  13. Hi, I have a four stroke OS 120FSII with Pump, that i am using for my funtana 125.. I got a pitts muffler for it.. I have 2 questions.. 1- Do i break in the engine with the Pitts muffler? 2- There is a pressure Line on the Muffler.. DO i seal it .. or do i connect the pressure to the thank.. I know that four stroke engines don't need a pressure line I have attached the photos.. Thanks a million..@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);

  15. Posted by Solly on 21/11/2011 15:24:31: Hi - glad to hear you've sorted the problem. Can I ask what make of servos you are using? I had the same problem and was surprised to discover that it disappeared when I changed from Futaba to Spektrum digi servos! I swapped from one to the other several times just to make sure. HI Solly ,, I am using Hitec 645MG...   Cheers,   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  16. Posted by Martin Harris on 18/11/2011 12:30:02: Posted by gazzazh on 06/11/2011 14:54:48: THe servos are twitihing like never before..   I tried putting ferret rings on the throttle and but still nothing..     I'll bet there was considerable twitching in the local ferret community! Hi Martin.. LOL.. So funny.. you made me laugh.. I meant ferrite rings.. but i am sure everyone is happy in fairy land with my little ferret..   Cheers, Ps: i write most of my comments on my iphone.. so sometimes i make silly mistakes.. but hey if it made you laugh.. then great...       @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  17. Posted by Lee Smalley on 21/11/2011 12:50:50: so the wires from the rx battery were picking up the rf noise and passing it back down to the RX??? interesting Yep...... @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  18. Got confused with the power setup.. I am running a power 25, 60amp esc, 2800Mah 4 cell 30C.. and 225MG all around..   Also with this setup i have been having a balance issue... dont know if its because its a Biplane..   Its tail heavy.. so i may need to add a bit of weight to get it balanced..   what i have noticed is that its either nose heavy or tail heavy .. which is confusing.. i am balancing it on a CG machine in inverted flight mode.. any suggestions..   Cheers,   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  19. Thanks all ..... My battery is a 4 cell 2800Mah 30C .... which will at least do for the test flight cause i dont have a 4000mah battery at the moment.. But then again.. like you say shorter flight time and 3d is with a smaller battery.. will get a 4000mah battery as soon as i can.. I think if my wife sees me ordering anything. i will most probably be killed...     Thanks again   Cheers     @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  20. It is interference.. I had to change the location of the battery to get the interference to stop... Also had to change the stock Plug .. originally the battery was below the ignition.. Had to move the battery to the center of the fuse to get things working properly..   Thanks a million lee..   Cheers,     @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  21. Great enough.. thanks .. I am new to electric flight.. the information here makes so much sense.. you hear a lot of people talking about bec or no bec but i think most don't really understand the concept.. Thanks again.. Cheers   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  22. HI all,   Just finished putting together the Raphsody fro elite.. I went with the following specs.. Power 35, 60Amp esc, 12x8 Prop.. and Hitec 225MG for all controls.. Now with regards to the battery.. i was wondering which way to go.. should i go for 2800mah 4s, or 3300mah or 4000mah..   will the 2800 be too weak..   and will the 4000mah work? i would rather go for the 4000mah.. more flight times and will not need to add any nose weight.. but i am fairly new to electric.. so your suggestion is appreciated..   Cheers,   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  23. Thanks all.. got it fixed.. all i had to do is remove the C-sub Nimh Battery and replace with an A123.. and no more problems. all went well.. Flies great.. had to make some modifications to the landing gear.. but other than that.. it a nice scale plane.. a bit on the heavy side.. but great to watch in the sky..     Cheers. and thanks a million again..   @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
