    Ok , Now your explained it a little better you are in fact a little tail heavy rather than the other way around ,Reflex is an upward trim of the elevons that take up the bottom shape of the airfoil .We have found that dialling the CG in that the best trim is neutral so elevons level with the foil centreline, Obviously by your latest description you need to move the CG forward to achieve this.     Steve, I think you'll find that your probably nose heavy and carrying excess reflex to fly level ,May I suggest moving the cg rearward a little at a time and removing the reflex till its level (meaning zero up trim .     Or something else like a Sychelle , my absolute favorite balsa build slopie and at 72" its a good size as well Plans are still available as well which makes it doable

    If your looking for Balsa builds then it maybe a bit of a task to find one unless you scratch build your own or perhaps a scalie of a plan

    As Lee said let it dry , I always use Spray adhesive on the foam for the fibre tape to adhere to it is also wiseto wipe the fibre tape down with a cloth with a light moistening of acetone to remove the release agent from the back side of the fibre tape ,you know the stuff thats tops it sticking together on the rolls .I use 125 Micron Lamin film with my standard heat sealing iron set on high with out any problem . And it sticks like sea gull poo on a beach towel. the latest covering I'm using is oracal PVC vinyl which is the sign writing vinyl ,absolutey the bee's knees for covering and adding strength and stiffness to foam. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);

    The biggest trap that most fall into is stretching the tape this is usually where the creases coming into it it can also warp the wing laying the tape down in a relaxed fashion gets the job done very easy ,to which it looks like Ian did do nice job Ian@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);

    Just a tip with the covering ,the new stuff as we call it, which real name is laminating flim is the ducks guts for foam you dont even need Fibre tape as is structurally solid all by its self A lot of the guys are now using the coloured packing tape and then covering with lam film. I'm currently building a prototype 2.4 mtr span foamie for a New Zealand Manufacturer the wing as supplied had 1x 6.35mm carbon tube spar and the wing is so thin you could see through it .I didn't think I could get the wing stiff enough span wise to make it viable however I fully fibre taped it and then applied a full covering on 25 micron Laminating film and the wing panels are like ironing boards. it applies exactly the same as any other heat shrink film but far far stronger. Oh BTW the Bee can and does fly heavy in fact some of the guys here DS them. If you google up the Predator Bee Mods you will find a whole new world of the ability of the bee.     when sanding or doing anything on a glue joint I always run 2" wide masking tape over the foam to cover any area exposed to damage especially on EPS, its not so bad on EPP but I still cover it Edited By stephen wenban on 06/07/2011 23:32:39

Does that still work with modern foams?   Tony the only thing I use silicone for is hinging. I use the gorilla glue wrap the servo in cling wrap and stuff it into the servo well and put some weight on it to hold it during the foam up. Once dry you cut the excess foam remove the servo and clean up with a sharp knife your newly and perfectly shaped to the servo  potted servo well . Then you only need Fibre tape over the top to hold it in , it also makes for easy maintenance of the servo ,because you can just cut the tape and slide the servo out of its cosy bed P.S.     once cured you can use a new snapoff blade and just cut the excess off . I have to say WOW i've not seen a EPP leading edge EPS mix on a Chervon wing since the late 90's . Not sure what price they are over there for that but maybe a good alternative is a windrider Bee which is a moulded EPP wing . Bit late now but save the info for latyer on
