  1. Anyone got any recommendations for a good flight sim. Thanks Paul
  2. Thanks for the replies Obviously not a true auto pilot but was liking the principal of if I muck something up all I have to do is let go of the sticks and the plane would right its self. Horses for courses and all that. Just looking for a little help whilst I get the hang of what I was doing at my time of life I am starting to be a bit of a slow learner Paul Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 05/08/2015 17:18:20
  3. Hi all I have been looking at some of the claims being made for some of the various auto pilots, some optical like from ripmax and futaba and some using gyros like the offering from Turnigy. are these just a sales gimmick or are they as useful as the makers claim, especially for a beginner like myself. Watching a few YouTube clips seem to indicate that they work and work well, but do they ? Thanks for any input on this Paul
  4. The only issue i have had (so far) with Hk is that the prices shown on their website are sometimes well out by the time you get to checkout. Here is a good example http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__22575__H_King_FW190_w_Lights_Flaps_Retracts_Gear_Doors_1200mm_PNF_.html Showing at £55.33 GBP but that is shipped from America with the postage at £75.42 GBP But shipped from their UK Warehouse its £95.99 with the postage at £6.56 Be careful as their prices are not always what the seam to be at first glance Another case of ripoff Britain at work I suspect Paul
  5. Anyone here a member of the Barton Point Club on the Isle of Sheppey, that's my local club. Paul
  6. Thanks for all the replies There is a local club I intend on visiting and joining so hope to find out a bit more from some of their members. I have plenty of time as I am at the wrong end of summer to get to much learning in this year so will probably have the winter to finalise equipment. Still if I can get something on the go I might be able to catch a few calm days before the autumn wind hit us. Thanks again for all the replies and help Paul
  7. Hi all Being a mature beginner to RC Flying I am looking for some advice for a suitable Transmitter, I don't have a huge budget and have been searching on-line for some suggestions and came up with the following systems, both being similar in features and price, would these be a good choice or are there any better options available. The models I have been looking at are Flysky FS-T6 2.4GHz 6CH Mode 2 and the RC Turnigy TGY-i6 AFHDS Transmitter and 6CH Receiver (Mode 2) Thanks for any help with this Paul
