  1. Don't worry though all evidence will be removed soon
  2. Neither was having my post deleted by the Muslim Rape gang supporting Mod without even the common courtesy of a PM letting me know why. Silence on the matter can only be taken as support for the problem.
  3. Its strange how the political correctness of the mods only apply to some of us isn't it. The blatant censorship dose make it appear that at least one of the mods supports the terrorists. I don't think I want to belong to a forum that supports Muslim terrorists and Muslim rape gangs Yes Muslim Terrorist Lover you can delete my account now and do it in your usual underhand way Goodbye
  4. Hi I have 3 iMax B6 chargers, 2 genuine SKYRC and 1 clone, all bought from Hobby King Although the clone works well, the genuine ones are more accurate and consistent, although the clone is quite close and probably close enough not to do long term damage. One other thing I have noticed with my three is that by holding the second and forth buttons at power on the SKYRC versions will go into a calibration mode so that they can be adjusted against a certified accurate meter reading, the Clone does not do this, well not the one I have as I have seen some on YouTube that do. 5. I know it was a nightmare to find through W.H Smiths. I visited about 6 before I found one in stock, mind you the same can be said for the Monthly Magazine as well and all the other RC magazines. Flying RC Planes is not as popular as it was only 10 to 15 years ago Another sign of that is the number of Shops and flying sites that used to exist but are now gone. Around my neck of the woods at least.  I used to Fly in Essex and most of the shops I used to visit are long gone now as are most of the local flying sites. 6. Brilliant. Thanks guys, I just knew this would be the best place to ask.
  7. Hi all Can anyone recommend a supplier in the UK that supplies Master AirScrew Electric Propellers. All those I have found only stock one to two sizes and in most cases never in the size I want, I mainly use props in the 10 to 12 inch change. Is there an official UK importer or a dealer that holds a good stock range. Thanks for any help with this Paul Edited By Paul Harris 5 on 01/11/2015 17:41:10
  8. Time to await the flood of e.mails telling us we need to log onto our and change all our details and to make it easier all we have to do is click on the provided link to talktalk that has a hidden url going to somewhere in China, Russia, Nigeria (Delete as appropriate). Watch out all the silver surfers with dementia, they will be the prime targets for this sort of scam, not exclusively though if the news reports are anything to go by, there was one the other day with a solicitor transferring all her customers money to a fake bank account, and should have been intelligent enough to spot that one a mile off. Paul
  9. Hi Roy It's a bit ironic me finding and reading through this thread only to get to the end and suddenly recognising your trailer, we talked about this down at BP last Sunday. Small world isn't it. Paul
  10. Just seen another new low for the claims firms on a TV add It went along the lines of Have you had an accident Have you made a claim and been paid out All is not lost, let us claim even more by checking that the claims firm you used got enough for you. Now they are claiming off themselves, a new low even for these bottom dwelling scum suckers. Whats the difference between a Lawyer and a catfish Ones a bottom dwelling scum sucker and the other is a fish (To quote Michael Connelly)
  11. Finally got my refund from them, but only after I asked PayPal to investigate. They claimed they never got any of my e.mails, which might have been believable if I only sent one and only sent from one account. but I also sent them from their own website contact form. Someone obviously dropped the ball on this one and no one will hold their hands up. I shall avoid doing internet shopping with these people from now on. Which is a shame as they are a local (ish) dealer and we don't have too many of those around here in (Sunny) Kent any more.
  12. Hi all I am having issues with an order from tjdmodels.com in Dartford. I placed an order for 3 items but they only supplied 1, claiming a stock error for the rest. After waiting some time I heard nothing from them and had bought the missing items elsewhere asking for the remainder to be cancelled and a refund made. So far they have ignored all my requests, Anyone else had bad dealing with this lot. I have now asked PayPal to refund my payment, but should not have had to do this. Thanks

  14. Hi For XT-60 & 3.5mm Bullets I find my Antex 25w more than enough and if I need something heavier then the same iron with a 10mm tip fitted does the job as well. The correct size tip is often all that is needed and often forgotten when selecting a Soldering Iron. For me a 25w Antex with 3 different tips, or to be more accurate 3 Antex 25w Irons each with a different tip fitted (Pointed, 5mm & 10mm) does 99% of all my RC Related Soldering. Paul
  15. Hobbyking do two types of wireless buddy system one 4 channel and the other 7, both are as cheap as chips at around £6 & £10 each and both work the same way and are reported to work well just search buddy on their site and you will find both items. The 4 channel one is much smaller and probably more useful to a learner. Paul
  16. Posted by Rich2 on 06/10/2015 12:04:34: Posted by Paul Harris 5 on 06/10/2015 10:48:33:   Not all things are bad though as big money can be saved on small low value items, ie my local model shop sells 100mm servo extension leads for £1.49 each and I can buy 10 from china for 99p and that includes the shipping. but I would not buy anything that could result in lose or personal injury if it was to fail. Paul If a servo extension lead fails? HK is great for those items, and batteries etc.   I might have been buying them from Hobbykings ebay account based in Hong Kong Unless that's a fake account  although the free postage would be an indication I was not. Don't forget things can fail even genuine items bought through authorised dealers fail sometimes.   Edited By Paul Harris 5 on 06/10/2015 16:14:23
  17. Should we not be encouraging anything to make flying safer. I do understand the not when training point of view but anything that could avoid the expense of a crashed aircraft or the damage or injury that such a crash could lead too should only be encouraged. Don't forget in most cases these systems can be switched on & off at the transmitter and only used if the pilot has a problem. How long in the world of litigation will it be before this sort of system becomes mandatory. The old argument that if I didn't need it no one else should use it does not hold water in the real world. Sounds like the mutterings that went through the house of Lords when they were trying to reduce the age of consent for Gays. "I they had to wait until they were 21 then so should everyone else" There own advertising methods to show how good they can be can be working against them though, with the pilot putting the transmitter down to talk of the phone, shouldn't the phone have been turned off before he began flying, switching the phone off will not kill you but answering it could.
  18. Having phoney location details and item location details is also against the rules on eBay but they never take action when it is reported. They make too much money from these sellers to ever take any action against them.
  19. Hi all just a word or caution for anyone thinking of buying on eBay and to a lesser extent (But growing) Amazon eBay is no longer the place it once was, it is now flooded with Sellers who are based in China selling goods that are just simply knockoffs of more expensive item, some of these are so good you would think they where made in the same factory as the originals and in some cases they are, as most of the worlds production has been moved there, but often they are not and are made in factories and back street workshops setup just to duplicate better known item and to dupe unsuspecting sellers. Now it used to be easy to spot these sellers as they were listed as being in China or Hong Kong and in most but not all cases the prices were very low compared to everyone else, but not anymore as many have fake location details often claiming to be in the UK or America when they are not. Many are so big that they have warehouses in the UK so you do get the items quickly and avoid unexpected import duties but they mostly still sell fakes. How does this affect the RC World. Batteries are a big area for the fakers often selling badly made packs with cells that do not come even close to their claimed capacities which could lead to a lost model or fire. Speed controllers that perform well below their claimed rating levels Chargers that can burn your house down because they don't control their charging and cutoff rates. Motors & Engines that are just rubbish and made from poor quality material that make them under perform and ware out early. The list could be endless. The old saying of if it looks to good to be true it probably is was I suspect penned by someone who had the abilities to time travel and had seen eBay before the rest of us. Not all things are bad though as big money can be saved on small low value items, ie my local model shop sells 100mm servo extension leads for £1.49 each and I can buy 10 from china for 99p and that includes the shipping. but I would not buy anything that could result in lose or personal injury if it was to fail. 20. One thing to watch out for with crank bearings is that once they start to go the small amount of side to side movement can enlarge the bearing support hole in the end of the crank case, so that when you eventually do change the bearing the new one is then loose in its housing so you still get crank movement. This can be fixed with some thin shim but its best to fix the bearing before it has time to damage the crank case as well. Paul
  21. Hi all Excuse the sill noobie questing but should it be possible to have a receiver bound to more than one transmitter. obviously not both at the same time. I have a transmitter that i use as a buddy box and a more complicated one for once i have learned to fly and as soon as I bind the receiver to one the other stops working and vice versa. is this normal or should I be able to bind it to both. Thanks Paul
  22. Just a quick update in case anyone else has this problem I have been doing a bit more searching of the problem as it's quite a common issue if YouTube and Google results are anything to go by. Apparently it's probably not the board at fault but the LCD screen, which might be why HK sell replacements for under £2, just ordered 3, just in case, might have to test all three though just in case some of the replacements are as fragile as the originals. Very odd though that every report I have seen only affects the 2.5.1 version, I wonder if they changed screen supplier.
  23. I hope to get there on Saturday but the forecast is not so good for Saturday though. Paul
  24. So that would explain why on such a glorious flying day why there was no one on the Barton Point flying field, I did wonder what had happened to everyone. This must have been on the news letter I don't get yet Looks like I missed a good day. (:
  25. Hi all Hope this is the correct section for this question After watching a YouTube video were someone was able to flash new FW to a HobbyKing KK2 Board to make it Fixed wing compatible, I thought I would give it a go and ordered one and the USB programming device. Whilst awaiting the delivery from Hong Kong I made sure I had all the necessary software, Drivers, Flash Software and Flash Hex file. THey arrived today and I tested the KK2 board with a flight battery and it powered up fine so I proceeded with the flash. the flash software reported all went well, but upon re boot the KK2 screen is blank, the backlight is on but there is nothing displayed. Now could it be the flash process that killed it or was it just a faulty item, anyone else killed their KK2 board this way. Its gone back to hobbyking for replacement, hope they are not able to check it no longer has their firmware on it I used the KKMulticopter flash tool from Lazyzero and the openaero2 firmware. Thanks for any help with this Edited By Paul Harris 5 on 08/09/2015 15:31:59
