  1.    Ok, done a bit of home work, the battery is a 4-Cell 14.8V 2200mAH [*]LiPo   Voltmeter reads 11.4V across the two main leads - is the battery duff as it's below 12v.   Do Li-Pos need to be kept over 2.2v per cell??
  2. As I said earler, I'm new to Li-Po's. So, stupid question number 1 - how do I know whether it's a 4S, 3S, 5S etc        stupid question number 2 - what is the C rating?   Sorry to be asking such basic questions but..........
  3. I tried every combination, both leads, balance lead, charge lead, even NO leads. I still the ERR1 message when I press START on the charger?       Me is NOT a happy bunny!!!!!!
  4. Power source is a 12v car battery, (giving 13.4v at 10Amp - well within the stated 11 - 15v requirements of the charger).   Have also tried on a smaller 12v battery (12v, 5Amp) but still get the ERR1 or ERR3 messages. I've tried the Etronix website for  instructions - nothing on it at all. I've also emailed CML and as yet had no reply.   To top things even further,I've tried using a fully charged Ni-Cd (voltage etc was correct), the model powers up beautifully, nose wheel steers nicely, elevators work fine but no aileron control - just  a flutter of the elevators when I try aileron movement. I know its not the Tx supplied as I tried transferring the crystal to my Futaba 6ch TX with exatcly the same results. I suspect the RX is faulty but I cant get to it as it's buried somewhere inside the fuze. Any suggestions anyone.   I dont hold out much hope of help from thr retailer for reasons listed above.   Havign paid £189.00 for a supposed RTF model I am NOT impressed.
  5. Hi all,   Ive just blown a few (??) quid on a Topgun FA-16 Hornet. RTF kit.  The kit came with everything, completed airframe with all the gubbins, EDF, RX, servos etc installed, LiPo and charger. Wonderful, just glue the wings and fins on, charge her up and away we go.......   My problem is the charger came with no instructions whatsoever, and as this is my first foray into the world of LiPO, balancers etc I haven''t got a clue what lead goes where.   The charger in question is an Etronix Powerpal Compact. When I connect ot to a 12v power source, even before I connect the leads to the LiPo, I get  ERR1 or ERR3 on the screen.   The dealer I bought it from was no help whatsoever when I went back to ask them (basically - "we got your money now sod off!" )   If anyone can be of any help  I will be eternally grateful.   (by the etronix - try putting instructions in with your products, or at the very least a PDF or similar file on your website eh ????)   Darron
  6. hi the fin is a solid balsa sheet - or rather 2 sheets, 1 for the fin, 1 for the rudder although the rudder does look a bit short. You'd have to chop the rudder above the fuze as the stock item goes straight through to the tail plane seat
  7. Right this is gonna sound like a real dumb question but....   re This damn Cloud 9 Mossie, the plans / build instructions are vague to say the least and Im not sure wich way to :-   1:   Attach the nose cone - is it supposed to be fixed or removable? (battery removal)??? 2:   Whats the best way to attach the wings to the fuselage? Through the top using the        wing bolt (in which case does the canopy need to be removable?) or through the        bottom of the fuselage? 3:   Anybody else have trouble matching up the plastic fuselage 'skins' with the balsa       sides   Help  PWEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Edited By darron moss on 03/05/2010 16:10:54
