Again ST Discovery looks great, however outside of my budget looks like it would cost £200 to get everything in it?, if I was going to pay that much, I would just go for a WOT Foam-E Out of curiosity, is the WOT Foam-E able to be used as a durable model? or this is as fragile as my WOT4 MK2 balsa model? Hi there, I am after a cheap electric trainer that gives good performance, good outside flight and can climb at a good rate to help me learn to fly. I have a bigger model (WOT4 with IC engine) however I need something thats RTF or BNF that will work with my Spektrum DX6i radio. I am after something thats also easy to fix and not expensive I have been looking at a Parkzone Micro Sukhoi Su-26xp BNF however not sure if this will be slightly too under powered for me? Thanks Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 18/07/2018 22:56:43

I have just marked the points and balanced using my two index fingers, the model has a very slight nose down balance, looks good? Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 18/07/2018 23:02:20 -
I don't know why this keeps happening, it first happened a few weeks ago when I started model in the back garden. I have a WOT4 MK2 and Irvine 53 engine, I am using 10x9 sports props. When I first fit them, they are quite tight on the prop shaft. The first time it happened I used my electric starter after a few tanks went through, and the prop started spinning freely without being driven by the prop shaft, so I thought the shaft made the prop hole bigger somehow, so I went to buy a new prop today, put that on, seemed to fit nicely, I was able to flip over the prop making the engine component move, however after taking prop on and off a few times, same thing happened again! with nut etc done up, and the spinner on, the prop will move freely and will not grip against the teeth of the shaft thing so you cant flip the engine. Anyone know what I am doing wrong ? I can't tighten the nut anymore than it is.

Yeah I was thinking about moving the engine back or forth, however unfortunately one of the exhaust hex screws have rounded, so I can't get it out, I am just going to use weights (if I need to use any) Will be checking tonight Will let you know how I get on. -

Thanks! One last question, I will try and get hold of some lead, however can something be used which equals the same weight? IE maybe some coins stick together? I know I would need a lot of coins as lead obviously weighs more, I might be able to find something at home to use as a weight. Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 18/07/2018 23:01:39 -

Cool thanks for the help both, if I do need to add weight, can I just install this under neath the foam in the radio bay around the fuel tank area? that should be ok right? I will give this a go tonight. -
Hi there, Just finishing a model and not quite sure exactly where the balance point is, I have read the instructions but its not 100 clear and as a new builder im not quite sure. Also, whats the best practise with balancing, and where and how do you add the weights? In the book it says COG should be 82mm back from the leading edge of the wing at the root, this should be measured with the fuel tank empty. Could someone kindly point out to me where this is? Any info on balancing would help a lot Thanks

Would it be possible for someone to post a picture on where the centre of gravity point is on the wot4 mk2? Instructions say "it says it should be 82mm back from the leading edge of the wing at the root" but where would that be? also what is best to use?
