  1. Thanks Stefan, Peter and Tim for your input. One of the servo's was found to have some stripped gearing, so that it would operate one way only. I have now removed both original servo's and replaced them with Eflite gear. All is now good. This model has already had to have a new retract fitted, and it hasn't left Terra Firma yet. Hopefully troubles over. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  2. Thanks for the info Stefan. This particular model comes with everything installed, so it should operate ok from the box. I think the real problem is that I am not able to programme the Tx properly. I can get both flaps to operate, but never from the same switch.@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  3. I have a Max Thrust P51D which is linked to a Futaba 8FG Tx. Everthing about setting up the model has been ok, apart from getting the Flaps to operate properly. The flaps have 1 servo each and are coupled through a 'Y' lead to the receiver (Futaba 617). All I would like is for both flaps tp operate from a single switch, which, at the moment, I am finding impossible to do. Any help would be appreciated. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  4. Hi Christian, Thanks for the info. I think I will go for either the Glens Extra 330s or the Cap 232 (68" versions)   I had assumed the Extra might be slightly more stable than the Cap due to it's almost "Mid Wing" position, or is this not necessarily so?    Fliteline.
  5. Hi again Dusty,   The Katana that I saw in TJD Models is The "Black Horse Katana 160, not Hangar 9 as previously mentioned.   Fliteline
  6. Hi Dusty,   Thanks for the reply. I was originally looking at the "Glens Models" Extra 330s 68" and a 70" Yak 55 made Global RC. TJD Models are also showing a 70" Katana by Hangar 9 which looks interesting!   The objective is just to progress to a slightly larger model that will enable me to hopefully fly in slightly windier conditions. Any thoughts are most welcome.    Fliteline
  7. Am currently flying a Pulse XT25e as my first Low Wing. Would now like to progress to a larger model,(of around 70" size) that will take a 20 to 30cc petrol engine. I have been looking at the following aircraft ( Extra 330, Yak 55, Katana, Cap 232) and would like some thoughts from more experienced pilots on which would be the easiest and most forgiving to fly.   Mike.
