  1. Hi BEB, Thanks for the message, 6 months that's quick, I aiming form a year!!! just in case, The buddy lead sounds ideal!!. Do you need to have the same box as your instructor or does the buddy lead fit any controller? How does the test work, does the examiner ask you to preform set flights and turns etc? Are there any books to read etc, (like the highway code for aircraft!!!)   Regards trusty...
  2. FB3, Hi, hey that's really good going, were all your training flight's on the buddy box? how long was each flying lesson? I've not heard of the yamamoto, I will have to look it up? Did you build it from scratch? how many flying hours do you think you have in now?, and do you recommend a sim?   Regards FB3

  5. Hi TD, Hey the Nat's does sound good, where is it held? is it at different locations every year???? RAF cosford is quite close to me, The LMA had a summer event there, but I was back in Scotland for a wedding so I missed it, Gutted ....as it looked great when reviewed in the magazine.....   6. FB3,   Hey well done for starting at that age, how long did it take you to learn?I thought I was old at 37, what are you flying now? Yes my son likes the video games etc, fifa 11 gets a hammering on his xbox, and he also reads my rcme magazines saying "when I get my spitfire!"........   Trusty

TD,   Thanks for that, I will get those bits before crimbo just incase santa delivers!!!!   I've been watching some you tube footage of the star, it looks great, have you seen the "nats"  footage added to the site, there's some serious aircraft on there.....   Better not run before I can walk or fly!!!!   8. Hi TD,   The photo's are brill, she looks great!!! and bigger than I thought. Will i need any special tools to build her or glue etc???? I've got a screw driver and hammer somewhere lol!......   Whats the other aircraft? looks mint.... how does she fly with those wings?   regards trusty

How old is your grandson? my son is 9 and he wants to learn aswell, he had a little park "air hogs" flyer untill today when his little brother ripped the rudder off at the park!!!! but my son said "it's ok dad I will just fly your mustang when you get one!!!"     Kids!!   Regards trusty

Hi Ross,   Thanks for the message, no i'm not on any other forums, this is my first one, and it's been really usefull so far....   I hope santa delivers!!! the wife has been fully briefed! and galaxy are doing the whole package including a flight box??....which I think i need!!   So watch this space....

Hopefully santa brings me an arising star with an irvine 46....... ready for me to join a club in the new year, i'm going to be hopefully hooking up with the mid cheshire MAC... can't wait....   Trusty...

  17. Hi Eric,    Well done....   Thanks for putting this on, I'm new to this game, and have never flown anything....(the odd small helicopter around the living room!) I was going to purchase a wot 4 ready for next year, and joining a club, but now, it's back to the drawing board and the arising star!!!!   I just hope I can build it!!!!!!!   Regards Trusty   P.S. Danny I went down to the field today, but there was nobody there! it was windy so I imagine flying would be difficult, also it's the school holidays, so I will pop back in a few weeks!... back to my reading online!   trusty  
  25. Hi stephen,   I'm in staffordshire, close to Stoke on trent, there's a few local clubs around but they are quite small, there are two larger ones around 30 miles away!   Yes i think i will be a regular on this forum!   trusty.
