Thanks all for the comments.   The EP came complete but for the wing which I have already ordered and being a man of my word I'll follow up with the purchase.Appreciate the input all the same.   The use of the camera is really a bonus. I just happen to have one. Probably be used more on the Zulu once completed for fun , nothing serious.   I've seen lots of youtube footage of the EP so kind of know what to expect. I haven't bought any books as yet but have found a wealth of reading here on the 'tinternet.   Being as we are starting out I am keeping costs down as you all know starting out isn't exactly cheap by the time you get kit, memberships etc.

Good point about the canopy. I took it off and just had a peek to fit a new crystal (minor hickup as I ordered the same as I already got - doh!) and it does look tight for the camera. I will probably go the key fob route as my copy MD80 is going to have quite some drag I guess.   We'll definately get some tuition before going solo.

Thanks Hamish, I have yet to get any flying time and plan to visit a local club first. I figured I would cry less if I crash the EP than when I finish the Zulu. We hope to cut our teeth, me and eldest lad (11) on the EP first.   I like the sound of stability! Any idea of the weight of your 2200 NiMh so I can compare.

Hi all first post here!   I am very new to this hobby so please be gentle. I have picked up the October magazine and began building the Zulu ET trainer.   One thing has lead to another and I've been given a Easy Pigeon powered glider. I have to buy a replacement wing which is on order and have ordered an extra crystal so hopefully I should be able to get it airborne.   I do have to buy a battery. My intention is to use an MD80 type camera (self powered) just to record some footage whilst up in the sky. Hence I would like to be able to fit a clear canopy instead of the blacked out one.   I am looking for recommendations for a battery for it. The one I have been given is somewhat of a doorstop and I doubt it would fly. I have to assume the motor is standard as I know no different.   I am open to suggestions but would appreciate the experience of those who have flown this kit and any links PM's to any suggested battery and chargers.
