  1. Hi Gents, always loved the A10 - fond memories from the 1980's watching pairs of them jinking and whining their way past my classroom window on their way up to (the now defunct) RAF Wainfleet weapons range. Perhaps if I'd spent a bit more time concentrating on Pythagoras and a bit less time watching the aeroplanes ... I picked up a very enticing bag of CML / Topgun A10 components at the nationals last week and not being very well versed in EDF's could I be cheeky and ask whether anyone has the manual or a PDF of the manual going spare ? Grateful thanks in anticipation 😉
  2. Thanks Steve - that's very kind of you (I felt a little cheeky asking). I've done a few small "plunge moulded" forms for free flight and control line models in the past, but I reckon that this one has to be a pukka vacuum job. Given that the magazine article / plan that I have is dated 1995 the suggestion of using a "suitable" tucano canopy could mean anything - probably even one from dearly departed Chiltern Models (I wish that I'd secured one of their Piston Provost canopies when I had the chance !)
  3. Steve, your Gnat looks tremendous - very well done ! (I'm thinking that it won't be too hard to see in that colour scheme). I'm afraid that you may have started something now .. As a hoarder of all things aeronautical, I have a copy of Silent Flight International complete with Alan Hulmes article and plan. In the article it suggests using a suitable Tucano canopy, reversed end for end to give the required shape. You can guess where this is heading .... please forgive the outright cheek in asking, but would I be able to source a canopy from you ? (If that's not possible / convenient, then I may have to stir my stumps and build that vacuum former that I've been promising myself ! 😉
