Two new Forum sections added, see under Electric Flight and Blogs!
Note - some subjects have moved to their new homes.

I'm going to move this to the new Blog section. I'll be starting my own Blog alongside soon.
David. -
Sincere apologies for the delay here folks. Hope this hasn't stopped you from starting your models.
best regards
David. -
Hi, and welcome to the site. Just to let you know, I've edited your post to remove the swearing as this can mean that the forum is blocked for some users if they're viewing at work.
-
Hi Leif, apologies for the problems you've been experiencing. You should now be able to read the subscriber-only content; let me know if not.
-
Cactus: just to let you know that we're more than aware that the forum software could do with a few tweaks here and there – indeed, it's one of the main jobs being looked at 'behind the scenes' at the moment.
If you could let me know any specific changes you'd welcome, either by posting here on the forum itself or via email, it'd be most appreciated. That obviously goes for everybody else too. -
Hi Matt, sorry I missed this until now. If you sent your form a week or so back, I would imagine that your subscription will start with the next issue. I can't tell you 100% for sure though, so your best bet is probably to give the office a call – ring 01689 899200 and ask for the Subscriptions department.

Ian Lloyd: My apologies. As David mentioned, I've been into hospital for to have my wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthetic (it was actually all four), so I've been out of the office for a few days. Unfortunately, the Bushwhacker images hadn't arrived before I left so they haven't yet been uploaded. They should be waiting for me in the office now; I'm back in tomorrow, so I'll make it my first job to get them up.

Hi guys. First off, apologies to anyone still waiting on a subscription gift. I've been passing any queries I've had via email on to the subscriptions department and asking them to get in touch with you. If any of you still haven't heard back, or indeed haven't yet been in touch with me via email, then please do let me know and I'll ask them to look into it again. Alternatively, give David a call on the number he posted above.
As David says, I believe the subscription gift stock arrives in 'waves', meaning that some will recieve their product before others. They're obviously being sent out as and when they become available, but as I say, please do let us know if you're concerned. -
I'll just reproduce the image in the thread here in case anyone else reading can help out:
-
Excellent Mike, hope you get plenty of enjoyment out of it.
-
That's strange Antony; it shows the whole picture at this end. Even it it wasn't, the window allows me to resize it by clicking and dragging the bottom-right hand corner. Have you tried that? I presume so if you're saying it's a fixed size.
-
For anyone else that's interested, this is the video that David is referring to:

Ian: some of the subscriber-only pieces will indeed be pieces from the magazine, which will act as an archive service of sorts for subscribers. We'll also be adding web-exclusive content too, of course – we have some good stuff lined up. For instance, we'll have a web-exclusive Ultrafly Sukhoi 27 review up over the next couple of days and others are on the way.
-
Absolutely Sadflying - more pics like this please!
-
Agreed, it's a cracking shot. Now that we've added the ability to post images in forum threads, I thought I'd repost it below:
-
I'm going to post a news story on the front page about it later today, but yep, just click the image button and paste in the address of your image and it should all happen automatically. Give me a shout if you have any problems.
-
Garry, we've just enabled image posting on the gallery, so I'm going through the thread to change your links to show the images – hope that's okay. Anyone wanting a closer look at your fine work should simply click on the images, which will launch a larger version of the image in question.

Hi Adrian, glad you solved your riddle. It's always frustrating when you know the answer is on the tip of your tongue but you can't quite fathom it!
-
Yep, thanks for the continued interest all, but the vote is now closed. The winning model was the Typhoon, as detailed here. We'll bring you more news as the design and build gets underway.
-
Willow, I believe a year's subscription for Australian readers is currently £60. Full details here if you'd like to take a look.
-
Guys, could I ask a favour of those of you who are either waiting for a subscription gift or are asking about replacement offers, please? Can you please email me your subscription details, your issue and contact details. I can then liase with the subs department and see what we can sort out.

Al – first off, I know you're not being difficult. We really appreciate people pointing things like this out to us because we don't always catch them as quickly as our users. So please do continue to post about any issues you're experiencing with the site – we're here to listen!
As for the hot threads, it's mostly to do with how many people have actually posted in them, but we're also trying to find the 'sweet spot' as to how long those threads should stay active as a hot thread. As I say, we're tweaking it at the moment so hopefully we'll find a better balance in the near future. Please do let us know.
