  6. Watt Meter reading with the 12 x 6 prop was. 240W 24Amps 10,9 Volts
  7. Thanks for the reply Caveman I am using a XYH42-40 900 KV from Giant Shark ( 5 Stars ) rated at 590 Watts, 22A.mps, Any Ideas please ?
  8. Would really appreciate help with this set-up for a Pioneer. I have used a Watt Meter, read most of the info for working all out and cannot understand why I get get these figures. If I go up to 4S lipos ( which I do not really want to as I have a few 3's at the moment ) it would probably not get me up about 500 Watts. Any ideas please ? A 12 x 6 prop is near enough to the ground.
  9. Hi Folks, I have a Seagull E-Pioneer ready to go but.............With a 590 Watt motor, a 12 x 6 E prop amd a 80 Amp ESC I am only getting 240 Watts Max ! ( with a 3S 3000 m/a Lipo). This is only about 50 Watts per pound. I know its a trainer with plenty of waft..... but is the answer a 4s Lipo? or should one fly it as it is. Gratefful for any help.
  10. Hi Andy, Many thanks for the info. I'm still building my Ganster 63 Lite. Just the wings are built at the moment. Things keep getting in the way, like holidays and stuff! Will post a picture of it sometime, hopefully this year! Cheers, Bob
  11. Very nice Andy. Is that elastic you have on the undercarriage ? Bob
  12. Hi Phil, No not a question. Just endorsing what a good engine this is. I also bought a muffler (silencer} for mine in the States. Cheers, Bob
  13. Hi IanR, Many thanks I have fixed it. Cheers, Bob
  14. I have a Phoenix Sim with a Spektrun DX4e Transmitter. The planes with retracts just keep bouncing on the runway, with bits flying off them and cannot take off ( no wheels ). I have read the manual tried everything I can think of.. What am I doing wrong ? Please.
  15. Thank you Peter for all your hard work and for all the pleasure you have given us. I personally would like a plan to build a high or low winger about 50 to 60 inch wingspan that i could power with nice clean Electric. ( Sport Model that is ).
  16. Well........ after reading all this....one makes one's mind up. I know what I shall be doing. Bi Bob
  17. Ah......... Thank you for all your replies. I have a Futaba set up. 6Ex and rx is R607FS. I thought Rx's on failsafe worked the same. Anyhow on my Futaba TX one can set the failsafe to any level/speed or switch it off altogether. Which I was advised to do when flying electric, off that is. I am fairly new to electric, but flre I/C for over 20 years and always used Fails.afe when it was available. This I think clears it all up now. Cheers, Bob
  18. I think you have missed the point. With Electric with your TX switched off the Prop does not turn at all WITH THE FAIL SAFE OFF. and withe the Lipo in the plane connected. Safe ??
  19. No need when flying electric. What happens if you lose your plane for a while in the ground ? ( with the failsafe set) Your motor will keep running until the battery is flat and you would probably require a new motor after . The prop will just keep on turning digging a hole.
  20. Hi Guys, Thanks a lot for the info. All noted. I am using silicon on the male just now. I bought my silicon tubing from a Home Brew Shop ! A good fit. Cheers, Bob
  21. So ffar so good, Bob
  22. Thanks Guys, I'm going to stick with the 4 m/m banana plugs, Bob
  23. Thanks Chris, that's the reply I was hoping for. Thanks a lot, Bob
