  1. Good morning, hope everyones enjoying the weather. I am currently building a Monocoupe 90A from an easybuilt kit which i am converting to 3 channel . I have it all framed up . It has a 40" wingspan and i set the dihedral to 1 1/4" at the wing tip , Is this going to be enough dihedral angle for a stable rudder/elevator flight or will i have to put ailerons in the wing?. Thanks Magoo

Thats a shame about the first one, you must love it though as number two is on its way. I had a mishap with mine also ,the wing insert which holds the carbon spar popped out again when i attempted a roll, i could not save her this time and the front end turned into a foam and mud puzzle. Epoxy at the ready i managed to put her back together and i re-inforced the foam insert of the wing with toothpicks dotted along the length of it held in again with epoxy, She still flies great.

hi guys , sorry for the length of time to reply ,had a break from it all to re-enthuse myself. Wayne I know what you mean it just wants to float and float, the flaps/spoilers sound a good idea, have you started anything on it, it would be good to see some pics of how your gonna tackle it Allan Yes i`ve seen the 95" super surfer, Its a monster, im sure it`s a good flyer. Dave I havn`t fixed the decal damage and i`ve painted it already, i must admit i didn`t think about heating the decals but thanks for the tip i`m sure ill use it in future, I`ve got some filla from the LHS as you say it doesn`t feel like theres anything in it .Is it supposed to be very dry though? a bit powdery? i have had it for a little while. As for the damage i can pass it off as battle scars In regards to the CAMO i went with a dark green on top and a grey underside . The underside of the wingtips are yellow and i must say they are very visible when airborn
  5. Hi all just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with falcon aviation? I sent off some plans to them to get them enlarged and laser cut. After a few emails they confirmed they could do the cutting and they would be in touch when they were ready. This was in September last year. I have since been sending emails and they have said that the plans were ready to go but they had forgot about it due to them being so busy . Then nothing, I emailed again after the new year and was told that they had just moved premises so they were back logged again but reassured me that my job would be done ASAP. It is now nearly halfway through the year and no plans, parts or contact from them.im quite patient but nearly 9 months since initially sending the plans is not good. Or am I just unlucky?
  6. Ok, kool. The reason I asked was because last time I ordered a kit from America I had to pay shipping and then had to go down to the local parcel force depot to collect it and they lightened my wallet by ? 35.
  7. Hi guys, just a quickie.when buying from HK they calculate the shipping costs to get it to the UK . Do any of you know how much the charge is to pick it up from the post office or wherever it's delivered to?

Ive got a humbrol airbrush that you use the cans with but need to buy a compressor really.   Thanks Kelvin. Yours is top drawer too.   I had a few minutes to spare today ,so i started messing around with some charcoal on the panel lines to try and get a weathered effect . Ive never done weathering before but i think it looks ok   pics below Having a lot of fun with this plane

    GWS 190

some more pics With the plane ready to go it was off to the local field and maiden her. full throttle and an under arm launch she rocketed into the wind like a bat out of hell, YEEEHAAAA. Once sufficient height was gained i reduced to half throttle and flew a few circuits, man this plane is cool.   This is the first time ive flown a low winger and it was brilliant , loops and low passes were amazing . Landings were a lot easier than i thought and i could not get her to tip stall either. Overall i think this plane for the price is splendid and you can add detail to your hearts content.   Cant wait to get her down the field again for another sortie.   This is the power setup im using   HD-2830 brushless motor (top props) 20 AMP ESC 3`S 2200 20C LI-PO AUW 29OZ

    GWS 190

After sitting in the garage for nigh on a year i finally got the urge to finish the GWS 190 and get it flying.   I have already built and painted the frame and im using the motor and esc from another plane i have, But need some 9gm servos and some cable   Off the the LMS for some supplies.   some £££ later and im ready to go. originally i used a stick mount for the motor but after testing i found it broke loose (there was a little play in the hole) oops, not good.   so i made a ply firewall and used the motor mount from a parkzone super decathlon which was sitting in the garage collecting dust . I also found that i couldnt get the C of G right so i cut a hole right through from where the battery bay is to the front of the plane where the motor is mounted so i could push the battery right up the front. I had to extend the esc wires so they would reach the battery bay, otherwise i would have to remove the cowl and prop each time i had to change the battery.   Next was to drill holes in the cowl fixings on the fuse and use screws instead of the clips supplied in the kit.   Next , servos in and connected to elvator and ailerons. (no rudder) secured with masking tape and epoxy put some guns on the wings   transfers applied and ready to go   canopy is held down with T pins (waiting to find a pilot the right size)
