  1. Ah Phil I do hope Santa brings you a camera as photo's do tell a lot more than words. Although, I am glad you got there in the end. I'll probably be doing the same in the near future when I start my Hurricane project.
  2. A visit to a friends this afternoon and I've been given some photo's to share. I snapped these quickly but will scan them properly. Perhaps some can help identify the Bipe and Gliders these brave men were flying. Not sure what glider this is? Not sure what Bipe this is? Frank Holland (left) an avid RC sailor and pilot Any guesses Good luck and bon voyage! So Brave. Like I said I have a few more and will keep you and my Album updated.

  8. On a similar note I bought an Aerotech International 56" ME 109 kit for a very good price. Website searches were full of negatives specifically for the Company and also their products. However, I was actually impressed with the kit and quality of the materials. OK I have a slight confession, I built her as a PSS model but to date she has had no vices. I would imagine a powered version would have flown OK in capable hands too! So the moral of the story WF is: You can always throw her off a cliff Edited By FWAL on 27/09/2014 14:45:40
  9. Speak for yourselves. I enjoy slope soaring on the South Gower Coast and it's been an awful Summer of Easterlies and Northerlies. I never thought I'd hear myself saying this but: Role on the Winter.
  10. Posted by Steve Houghton 1 on 15/08/2014 08:03:52: This is going to be my next, and first, "proper" build. Up until now I've only had facilities to assemble foamy models so I'm looking forward to it. This will be a lead up to building the Climaxx from Hollein, a 4 servo wing, 2.5m thermal glider ready for next springs thermal gliding season Steve A470soaring.blogspot.co.uk Hi Steve I'm glad you've found the type of kit you've been looking for. I'll definitely be bookmarking the Hollein website. There appear to be 3 types of Climaxx, which one are you considering? They all look very nice. You could be looking for a sailplane rather than soarer by this Thursday! Fairwinds Mk
