  1. Hi Mate I used sanding sealer first (3 coats) then 3coats of poly c, rubbed down, then tissue, then 3 more coats of poly c, & thats as far as I have got. will use a primer rubbed down well then the paint job finished with 3 coats of poly c. Nice model & nice finish, hope mine looks as good. DJW
  2. Hi Tony, If you brush on the final coat on a painted surface will it stand rubbing down to get a good finish. DJW
  3. Hi, I am using poly -c to cover an acro wot with tissue & its fantastic stuff, no more dope for me. Has any one ever thinned it down to spray it on & does it affect its fuel proofing properties. Can anyone advise please. DJ Wheelhouse
  4. Cheers Peter, Sods law your reply has come in now, went & bought a Clarke scroll saw because of blade availability, Told KC all seems ok but needs a few days use to evaluate more, but thanks for your thread anyway. DJW
  5. Hi KC Just come out of the shed after setting up the saw, The adapters for non pinned blades are supplied so thats handy. The machine seems very sturdy with very low vibration but may be better when its bolted down. Blade alignment had to be set to get a straight cut but apart from that all was well. I will let you know how it performs after more extensive use, DJW
  6. Thanks to all who have responded, been & bought a Clarke scroll saw with variable speed ,flexible drive attachment, & worklight, looks ok but still in the boot so untried as yet. DJW
  7. Cheers malcom, It states in the Titan handbook that they are 128mm pinned blades. if I cant source these blades I wont buy the saw ,Thank you
  8. Hi, Can anyone out there tell me where I can buy spare blades for a Titan SF 16G scroll saw. I am thinking of buying one from Screwfix but cannot source spare blades. Thank you DJW
  9. Thanks to all who replied to me, I feel much happier now & look forward to using it . DJW
  10. Hi, Being a dope & tissue man I saw an article on Poly-C. Sounded too good to be true as it is also a fuel proofer, so I have bought some but have'nt used it yet. Has anyone used this product? & is it as good as it sounds. look forward to hearing from anyone who has DJW
