  1. Clive, did you use the recommended 80mm back from the LE at the root CG, It seems quite forward of the main spar to me and will need quite some nose weight even with a Irvine 53 and alloy spinner up front. Mine seems nice all round with a few hardware issues: Covering design details lift easily, needs a bit of TLC Clevis's do not fit the supplied 2mm rods at all, most just slide over, replaced with metal type Front nose leg bent beyond 90 deg for the wheel, bending it back slightly immediately snapped it at the bend Steering rod not well laid out, needs a lot of bending to route it, if you follow the instructions connecting to the servo on the same side as the rudder the wheel will turn in the opposite direction to the rudder. Canopy plain not smoked as in pictures Mine did not come with a supplied spinner or snake outers as stated. Hopefully she'll be a nice flyer but generally not quite as well put together as a Speed Air, Ripmax could do better in QC Edited By Gaijin on 17/10/2012 19:17:56
  2. Hi Dave, I too was faced with this conundrum and wanting to stay electric I finally settled on the E-flite Advance 25e, this is well priced, excellent quality and shares a lot of DNA with glow powered sport low wing trainers such as a rugged construction, simple layout, decent size and great handling. **LINK** **LINK** This was a lovely little flyer that could come out to play even on days that better favoured the IC crowd, I can't recommend it enough, mine was powered with power 25 equivalent power system although with hindsight and factoring the minor cost difference I'd probably choose the power 32 High performance setup, links below if helpful. **LINK** **LINK** **LINK** **LINK** That Said, in the last year or so I've grown to love IC and can recommend the Travel AIR or Speed Air highly and have to say there are times you just can't beat it for power and rugged simplicity, plus I never forget to charge my fuel!
