  16. I've calculated the CG using the geistware calculator and it comes out at 92.87mm from leading edge with a static margin of 10%. I have my Blade at 95, and it flies great, so gonna try 92 on the Renegade
  17. I'm using ASP .61 (same as on my Blade), and I had to add two mounting blocks to the firewall because I could not get the engine back far enough to get the cowl to reach the fuse without leaving a big gap to the spinner. I notice you are using the same engine, and no mounting blocks, is the cowl just barely covering the fuse?
  18. I have a Blade (basically the same model with rounded edges on flying/control surfaces), and I needed the CG at 110 or it was heading for the ground like a brick. I'm just completing my Renegade, and wanted to know where you guys have your CGs.
  19. That's great, sounds like the ASP 160 twin might be just the ticket Thanks
  20. Due to financial constraints (lousy Irish government), I've put the Yak off till next year. planning on an ASP 160 twin though, they sound divine.  ASP 160 Twin
  21. How was the balance with the 120?, did you need to add weight to the nose or the tail?
  22. Excellent. I'll go with the ASP FS120AR, save myself ?50 quid over the 180.
  23. Posted by Steven Butler on 01/01/2011 17:15:09: Ross   Sorry too late for pictures as she has maidened. Went to the club today with the yak where some experienced members gave my build a thorough once over and got the nod of approval which pleased me as I had never built a plane before.   The SC120 FS engine ran perfectly (still rich as its new) and all the control surface movements were reduced for the first flight (the elevator is particularly fierce and was reduced to 40% travel) Did the range check and it was time for the yak to take to the air. Do you find the SC 120 FS provides plenty of power?  I'm thinking of putting an ASP FS-180 in mine.
