  1. Hey Chris I'm not sure i'm going to see it fly but I sure hope so,If it does it will be on video because I will have an army of Canadians coming to string me up if its not I,m sure once I have settled back in the UK I will find some place to fly it.If your going to the western park do, in june we might get a chance to meet,Might see if I can take it up there just as a static display.
  2. Hello Chris Thanks for the comment and edit I did not know how to seprate them wayne
  3. Hello Andy Look forward to it I will let you know when I get back
  4. Hello Andy I know what your saying about draging the tail I have the same cocern with mine.I think it will be possible to just build a little extra speed for take off and bring it into the air kinda flat, for the first few feet,Now landing is going to be another problem and that concerns me more than take off,I thnk its going to be a faster flatter aproach,Of course I have no brakes on mine so it will take a little room or a brave man to stop her to Wayne
  5. Hello Allen The model is turning out to be a problem for me if the truth is known as mentioned I was not expecting to bring it back to the UK,so the large model problem there would not be an issue here. I,m glad you like it and thankyou for your coments,It does look good on the photo,s but in the flesh the finnish is a disaster to the point where I might repaint it,You cant rush a good job ,and I had to rush this one.I will get intouch with you once I return to discuss it. Wayne
  6. Hello Wingman Thanks for the comment Yes I read something about the 20kg,I never thought I would be bringing it or myself back to the Uk, Size and weight are not an issue here on the praries of Canada, you can watch the dog run away for a week. I coulld put less batts in her and that would bring the weight down they weight2.2 lbs each, but I will do a test flight and see how it goes.I believe 20kg is around 45lbs so I might just sneak in under that. thanks wayne
  7. Hello I thought since I was returning to the uk after 8yrs in Canada I would post some pics of an Avro Vulcan I have just finished, apart from a few small jobs that will wait until after the move. Its based on Graham Dorshells plan, I just made it slightly larger,8ft4 wing span around 9ft in lengh (i forgot to messure befor packing it for shipping)Its bult from a mixture of Balsa,Plywood and blue foam with a 3/4oz fibreglass coating power comes from 4xwemotec 90mm edfs, and 4Xthunderpower 8s lpo's it also has modified electric retracts (for the weight and leg lengths) working gear doors and three red led beacons and wieghs around 41lbs Futaba 8fg radio and reciver,12 servo,s 2X1900Mah reciever batts and an empty wallet. Unfortunatly it turned into a rush job toward the end of the build so I am not completly happy with the end result, but it looks ok and 100ft in the air I,m sure it will look the part,It has not had its first flight yet that will have to be back in the Uk due to my move back there.anyway here it is   regards to all Wayne Roberts Edited By Chris Bott - Moderator on 15/03/2012 19:13:59
