  1. Hi You mean one for the wall socket ?? Regards
  2. Hi Chris It has the standard NiMh battery. In the manual it states for the first charge to leave it on for 10 to 12 hours !! I dont like the idea of leaving it charging when you are not in the same room !! but you cant be there all the time. Any other ideas ?? Regards
  3. Hi I have a question on the DX8. When recharging the transmitter. How do you know that it is fully charged ?? I have read the manual but cannot see any mention of this. Or is it just the case of charging it for 2 hours ?? Reading the reviews on some of the other brands this topic is covered. Kind regards
  4. Hi I also did not know it existed. Just checked it out and will use it in the future for model etc reviews Andy
  5. Yes please. I will even pay the postage to Germany
  6. Hi   Well my Spektrum DX8 arrived yesterday along with the highly recommended Phoenix 3 Sim ( Thanks Steve ) I ordered both from the Sussex Model Centre. Great service and it was here in Germany in 3 days.   What an eye opener !!!. I think I must have saved myself thousnads of pounds in write offs last night. But by the end I was feeling that I had not forgotten the touch and was getting used again to the plane coming towards me.   I love the choice of planes and the very easy to use Sim.   Thanks everybody for your help. Also very impressed with the Spektrum DX8 system. I also made my final choice after the recent good writes ups.   Will let you know my final choice of model and how I progress on the Sim.
  7. Hi Helen Very small World !! Yes thats me. How can we get in touch ?? Are you doing R/C stuff ??  Regards
  8. Many thanks for all your replies.   I have met a German guy ( speaks good English thank God ) that I hope will take me up to the local RC club near where I live in the next couple of weeks.   I will take the advise on the radio gear and have a look and feel on the ones that I am interested in.   Still no feed back on the ART ASK 21 glider which I have seen in a UK mag last month. Have any of you flown this model yet and would it be a suitable introduction model back into the R/C game ?? The RTF model shown in the mag comes with a Spektrum RX. This would not be a "clone" RX ??   Regards Andy
  9. Hi   Many thanks for your prompt replies. I will update my profile as you have suggested.   Thanks John for your reply on the 2.4regs. I to had heard about France and I think the US have more power. So I think it will be OK to place my order with a mail order shop in the UK. Any suggestions as to which one ??   Regards
  10. Hi   After a weeks holiday in England and a chance to try RC again with a friend after a lapse of 25 years it seems that I have got the bug again !! The problem is I now live in Germany near Frankfurt and I wonder if there are any more English flyers around the area that I could meet up with to discuss my plans for the future. I would now go with electric power as it seemed trouble free and with a lot more of choice in planes etc. Does anyone have the ART TECH ASK 21 glider that I see was featured in a review in a UK mag last month ??. Is it OK for me to start on again bearing in mind my 25 year break ?? On the point of radio gear the Spektum DX8 has good reviews other tham my friend says there has been some recall issues since its launh last year. Have these been sorted ?? One more question I understand that fifferent countries have different output regulations for 2.4gHz. Is the UK the same as Germany as I would like to buy my TX from England due to the € vs £..
