Lost model locator - suggestions?
Andrew Garnell replied to Simon B's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
Hi Simon I saw this in the news the other day which seems a very good idea if you know within a hundred feet of where your plane is. Google News "stickNfind". Coming out soon so it seems Regards -
Friday free stuff
Andrew Garnell replied to David Ashby - Moderator's topic in All Things Model Flying
Yes please. I am feeling lucky today. -
Hi. I cant find my message but I asked the same question a long time ago. Every time I charge my DX8 TX I am worried for exactly the same reasons as stated above. The charging light on the TX does not go out at the end of the charging process so I never really know if I have a fully charged TX or not. As stated a very poor design feature. Regards

Hi Count me in The book in German please Regards -
Hi Tony I also live in Germany and use Parkflieger.eu for most of my stuff and found them to be very good in service and price. The new owner took over the shop I think about a year ago and it is now full to the ceiling with stock. Most of their business is via the internet. Take a look at their website. They are situated a short distance north of Frankfurt. Regards Andy

Sussex Models
Andrew Garnell replied to Chris Channon's topic in R/C Retailers / Distributors / Manufacturers
Hi I ordered all my start up kit DX8 etc from SMC. Received a phone call in Germany to say all was in stock and to confirm my details and everything arrived in 3 days. Excellent service. Should have shouted sooner. Well done to the staff at SMC. -
Hi Twister Welcome to the Forum. You will get all the answers you need from this group. Do I understand that you have taught yourself to fly and that your first plane was the Pro ?? Do you still have 5 planes or are they now in the bin ?? I like your choice of planes . I was thinking about getting the Riot as my second plane. How much of a difference between the two. Andy

How Many of Us Are or Were Motorcyle Enthusiasts and Why?
Andrew Garnell replied to David Davis's topic in Chit-chat
Looks like there were / are a lot of us about. Started with a FS1E moped then onto a Suzuki 250GT and then the last of the Yamahas RD400 with the coffin tank. A break of around 20 years than back with a Dutcati 900SS 1996 model. I loved it to bits and brought it over to Germany when we moved over here and if you know what the roads are like over here then you will agree its a bikers paradise !!. But in the end I had to sell it due to my young family and pressure from my wife. Started late on the children front !!! Those were the days. A pity I dont know how to load some pictures of the 900SS -
Hi Added Not many in Germany !!

Hi I used to run a large autoparts warehouse in the UK and we moved to a largrer unit a couple of miles away. I can a sure you for the moving period we cut down stock levels for the simple reason it was less stock to move !!! It will take them several weeks at least I would think before they will be back up as normal. Regards

A good 'FREE' flight log for Android phones...
Andrew Garnell replied to Cyclicscooby's topic in All Things Model Flying
Hi Chrisie That was a good email. Just checked for my iPhone and I see that there quite a few. Some free and others not. Does anyone use these and if so which one ?? Did I not see something in one of the threads a while that our phones should be turned off while flying due to possible interference as most of the apps have built in count down timers. Regards -
Peter. Many thanks. I was wondering why the screen did not show 100% !!! I agree with you on the Spektrum gear and I am very pleased with it so far. Now at least I will go out with a 100% charged TX for the first time. Regards
