  1. Hi, fairly new to this forum stuff. My nick name came from when I was in first year at secondary school (1957ish) we were learning Spanish (the second most spoken language in the world after English) and were re-christened by the teacher into our Spanish variants, the next lesson was art and we had to express an interest in an artist - the only one I could think of was Picasso, and so for ever after my nick name has been Pablo! My handle when CB-ing, all those years ago, was 'Pleasure Machine' but that is a story for another forum I think. Great thread though -makes interesting reading, well some of it anyway.
  2. Alex This may be a bit late but I am new to this forum malarky!!! My first model, about 18 years ago, was very simple two colours, blue wings and white fuz - found out later the two worst colours for a model are blue and white! However, the model didn't last long before it needed some repairs and a simple colour scheme made for easy repairs and, hence, back in the air sooner. Not helping you alot am I, but, as I progressed my models lasted longer and colour schemes became more adveturous and the flying more enjoyable. I know what it means to have the best rig on the patch, but spand more time flying than covering - it's much more fun. Paul
  3. Richard, Chris and David Thanks for the help, I feel a bit more confident about what I am about to do now! Regards Paul
  4. This may be a silly question to all you very experienced builders - but when covering a fuselage, is it better to do bottom first, then sides, then top. Or some other combination? Some guidance needed please. Paul
  5. Only just got onto this forum thing. But I used to fly a Zagi off the Cornish cliffs a few years ago and it really was the best fun. Watch out for the gorse bushes though that was the death for mine. I am in Flat Cambridgeshire now and it is a trek to get to a decent slope site. Happy landings all. Paul
